Mid-West Corvettes, Inc. Board of Directors
My first membership to MWC was in 1965. Mills Chevrolet in Moline, Illinois was the first dealer sponsor. I was awarded the dealer representative to the club by Mr. Mills. As I was only 22, married, one child and another on the way I couldn’t afford a Corvette.. The club then voted to make me an honorary member provided I always brought a Corvette to all meetings and events. That wouldn’t have been a problem as we always had Corvettes in stock. In theory that was quite an honor but in reality I bought my first one just months after. And now, more than 50 years later, I’ve earned 25 year life membership status. You see, one must only enjoy membership when owning a Corvette and I didn’t always have one. Thanks for reading my bio and trust I will always be willing to share my many years of experience in MWC with you.
My husband John and I joined MWC in 2013 and own a 1996 Polo Green coupe. This is the first office I have been elected to. I have been on the core committee for Vettes on the River the last 2 years and on the core committee for Spring Rally this past year. We received a club recognition award in 2015. My favorite activities are drive-outs, Spring Rally, Vettes on the River and time spent with club members.
Hello! I’ve been a member of MWC for over 30 years also, and Historian for almost as many. Yes, I have had Corvettes all of my adult life, no it is not a sickness. It has been great watching the club grow and change over the years, and saving a little of that for the future. But the best thing of all, has been the friendships of so many Corvette enthusiasts. Am currently driving a 2003 Electron Blue Z06.

My husband Chuck and I joined Mid-West Corvettes in June of 2015 shortly after buying our Corvette (my first, his second). New friends, great fun and lots of adventures on the road. We have served on the Vettes On The River committee and enjoy the drive-outs and the Spring Rally! Our Corvette (Minion) is a Yellow 2003 Convertible.
