President Darrell Amato called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
28 members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders. Board of Directors 2021 ballots were handed out.
Secretary’s Report: The minutes will only be posted to the website. October Minutes mistake under Communications was Denny thanked Michelle for the idea of squared numbers for the 60th photo when it was actually Al who thanked Michelle. A motion to accept the October minutes as submitted was made by Kathy Nelson and seconded by Tom Marckese. Motion carried.
Treasurers’ Report: Shirley Schneider was absent. A current Club’s balance sheet was passed around the room. Credits were Interest, Membership Renewal Fees and Transfer from Charity Account(Sappington Donation wrote from wrong Account). Debits were Denny Waddell(overpayment membership renewal fee), Bob and Kathy Nelson(Wedding gift), Sappington donation(house fire) and Gregory Couch(refund 2021 membership fee as they have sold their corvette). Charity: Credits were 50/50, No Name Tags, Birthdays and Anniversaries and Donation from Rita Painter. Debits were: To General Account(Sappington donation that should have been written from this Account) and VVA Chapter 299(donation). Motion to accept Treasurer report made by Ron Mathias and seconded by Anne Sherman. Motion carried.
Governor’s Report: Al Fiscus reported renewals were sent in and accepted by NCCC. Dates set up for Spring Rally April 18th 2021 and Low Speed Autocross August 15th 2021.
Membership: Gale Brown reported that we have 118 members. Newest members are Kem and Linda Schillinger, Daniel Mewredith and Curt and Tawnya Hoff. New corvette, Rita Painter now owns a torch red 2005. Gale has a flannelI car cover if anyone is interested in it, contact Gale. If you have changes (car, plates, etc.) let Gale know so he can get the information corrected.
Social: Jean Amato heads up Social this year. Check the website calendar! Darrell thanked Shermans for leading the drive out to New Diggings and Severs for leading the open drive which ended up as a picnic in Bellevue and the Chili picnic. 2021 NCCC sanctioned events Sunday April 18th is the Spring Rally and Sunday August 15th is the Low Speed Autocross.
Speed: Butch Thomsen heads up Speed this year. No report.
Communications: No Report. Denny did say he appreciated holding this position on the Board of Directors as he has enjoyed doing service for the Club.
Charity: Sherri Brown Thanked all Veterans in the Club. Winners of 50/50 were Mike Heard and Gary Kamp(who both donated it back to Charity). Donna and her Mom sent their thank you to all for support during their Covid issue and a Thank You from Bob and Kathy Nelson for the Wedding gift. Cards were sent to Vince Kelly family and Ron and Carol Mathias(sister-in-law). Discussion on the Christmas donations was held. A motion by Jim Scranton and seconded by John Severs was made for the amount of 800.00 from Charity be used and the Board of Directors to decide which organizations to donate to. Motion carried. Rita Painter donated 100.00 as long as someone else also donated the same to be used towards the Charity Christmas Donations. Al Fiscus, John Severs and Gale Brown all decided to match Rita’s offer. If anyone else is interested in the 100.00 donation, earmark a check to Shirley Schneider made out to Mid-West Corvettes for the Christmas Charity.
Webmaster: Please use the website. If you have any questions contact Chuck Hersey. You should all be getting emails on a regular basis. Chuck has agreed to remain as webmaster for 2021. Thank you Chuck!
Car Show: Roger Miller was absent. No report. Links on website! If you know of any local car shows, let Roger know.
Publicity: Jean Amato. No report. Rita said a friend of hers saw Sunday on the news a video of the last drive out someone had sent in. Lots of Corvettes driving by.
Parade: The general feeling of the membership was that we do not need a chairperson for this position. No one knew of any upcoming parades.
Quartermaster: Kathy Nelson had nothing new. No orders will be taken at the meetings as it is all online on the website now. If you have any problems contact Kathy and she will help you through it. Clothing tab is now on main page of website, no password needed to access.
Historian: Waldo Arnholz. If you have photos from the last 10 years of Club events Waldo would appreciate it if you could share them as he is working on compiling photos for the 60th Anniversary party. He can give you a thumb drive to put them on for him.
Sunshine: Donna Jochim will take over for the remainder of the year. November Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. Kathy Nelson brought cookies!
Old Business: Discussion of the 60th Anniversary party, with the new date being September 26th 2021 and the caterer has also been notified and able to change the date for us. Eriksens is our sponsor for 2021 and will be presented with a certificate at the next business meeting.

Motion to accept Board of Directors made by John Severs and seconded by Tom Hampton. Motion carried. Discussed photo framing for a photo for Eriksens wall. Motion to go ahead with framing made by Jim Scranton and seconded by Rick Sherman. Motion carried. Tom Marckese talked about the Novi stretch bra he had on his car. The first one didn’t hold up well and they sent him a new one, so far 500-700 miles later it has held up well. Gale Brown was thanked for his job on Membership, in retaining and getting new members.
Asked members to help clean up the meeting room and all were invited to City Limits if they so chose to go. Motion to adjourn made by Ron Mathias and seconded by Tom Hampton. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 pm.
