President Darrell Amato called the meeting to order at 6:58 p.m.

28 members were present and 2 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  A moment of silence was observed for Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders.

Secretary’s Report: The minutes will only be posted to the website.  A motion to accept the August minutes as submitted was made by John Severs and seconded by Bill Ingersoll. Motion carried. 

Treasurer’s  Report: Shirley Schneider  passed a current Club’s balance sheet around the room. Credits were Interest, Membership Renewal Fees, Veterans Donation and Transfer to correct deposit error. Debits were Transfer to correct deposit error and Transfer funds from Diner Book sale(March 2020).  Charity: Credits were 50/50, No Name Tags, Birthdays and Anniversaries, Auction of Corvette shirts & memorabilia, Donations collected at meeting for Veterans, Veteran donation(Huff/Brown), Eriksen Sponsorship, Deposit error correction and Transfer funds for Diner Book(March 2020). Debits were Transfer to correct deposit. Motion to pay NCCC dues made by Al Fiscus and seconded by Diane Christensen. Motion carried. Motion to accept Treasurer report made by Robbie Bentley and seconded by Kathy Ragona. Motion carried. 

Governor’s Report:  Al Fiscus reported that most everything is cancelled, listings are on NCCC.org under midwest region. NCCC has 3 certificates for sets of tires to be raffled, minimum donation $25 to Saint Judes gets your name thrown into the raffle, drawing dates for the raffle are Nov. 7, 2020, Feb. 20, 2021 and May 1, 2021

Membership: Gale Brown reported that so far he has not heard from 8 persons on renewal memberships. Newest members are Earnst, Brown and Ross/Keil. Visitors were Bob and Mary Cushman who have a C4  ‘85 dark bronze metallic Corvette.

Social:  Jean Amato heads up Social this year. Check the website calendar!  Sept. 4 Lunch with the Bunch cancelled. Sept. 20 Drive Out to The Cove Restaurant in Apple River, meet at TBK Bank in Rapids City IL on Hwy 84 at 9:30am. Sept. 27 Open Drive out, meet at former Ascentra Credit Union LeClaire IA 9:30 am. If anyone has ideas or would like to lead a drive out, contact Darrell and Jean.

Speed: Butch Thomsen heads up Speed this year.  No report as everything has been cancelled.

Communications:  Denny Waddell discussed the fun drive out to the Tin Roost.

Charity: Sherri Brown thanked Rita Painter for the donation of clothes and memorabilia for the auction held last month.  Winners of 50/50 were Rita Painter and Gale Brown(who both donated it back to Charity).

Webmaster:  Please use the website. If you have any questions contact Chuck Hersey. You should all be getting emails on a regular basis. Mail Chimp bounced back a few this last month and had to be reset so if you haven’t gotten anything lately let Chuck know.

Car Show: Roger Miller will be doing this for the year. Links on website! If you know of any local car shows, let Roger know.  

Publicity: Jean Amato. No report.

Parade: The general feeling of the membership was that we do not need a chairperson for this position. No one knew of any upcoming parades.

Quartermaster:  Kathy Ragona.  No orders will be taken at the meetings as it is all online on the website now. If you have any problems contact Kathy and she will help you through it. Clothing tab is now on main page of website, no password needed to access.

Historian: Waldo Arnholz. If you have photos from the last 10 years of Club events Waldo would appreciate it if you could share them as he is working on compiling photos for the 60th Anniversary party. He can give you a thumb drive to put them on for him. 

Sunshine: Sharon Morrissey was absent and has resigned the Sunshine position. Donna Jochim will take over for the remainder of the year. September Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. 

Old Business: Discussion of the 60th Anniversary photo, Gale will contact Jerry Wood to confirm tentative  October 4 (with October 11 as a rain date). Photo will be done at Eriksens. Members are asked to meet at 1 pm at Eriksens to set up with the photo being taken at 2 pm. There will be an opportunity for members to have individual photos taken as well. Reminder that the Anniversary party is scheduled for May 2 2021 at the Camden Center.

New Business: Membership decided  accumulated Veteran donations be divided between Chapter 669 and 299. Motion to donate from Charity to Veterans Chapters made by Don VanDeWoestyne and seconded by Russ Bentley. Motion carried.  The end of year Awards Banquet was discussed and determined that it will not be held this year. October is Board of Directors nomination month with voting in November. Tom Marckese talked about the Novi Stretch front car protection, more to come on that.  Asked members to help clean up the meeting room and all were invited to City Limits if they so chose to go. Motion to adjourn made by John Severs and seconded by Tom Hampton. Meeting adjourned at 7:33 pm.
