President Deanna Glossop called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 36 members present and 0 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..

Former member Ron Myer passed away suddenly, there will be no service, address to send sympathy cards was in email sent out. Deanna thanked the BOD for their service this past year, was a pleasure working with everyone. A sheet was passed for anyone interested in a Lake of the Ozarks weekend (Sean McKay) and also for Euchre night (Donna Jochim).

Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. OOPS, last month’s guest name was Bryant Wynes not Ryan Lane, who has relocated to the QC area from the East Coast. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Bill Ingersoll and seconded by John Severs. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Sherri Brown – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Credits were: Award Banquet Registrations and dividend. Debits were: Gale Brown reimbursement-gift card/award banquet/office supplies, Hurds reimbursement-NCCC fees/Western region members, NCCC membership dues/2023, John Severs reimbursement-cabinet lock keys, Gale Brown reimbursement- year end membership mailing expense and John Severs reimbursement-Governor’s meeting. Charity: Credits were: 50/50, Birthdays/Anniversaries, No Name Tag, auction and donation from Euchre game. Debits were: Pam Shirley-donation hurricane Ian and KKIDS Inc. Florida. Savings Main and Charity: no change. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by Ron Mathias and seconded by Sharon Morrissey. Motion carried. This Board position is open for 2023. If interested, please let a Board member know and Sherri is willing to work with this person until they feel secure in the position.

Governor’s Report: John Severs – Mid-West Region Award Banquet is Saturday March 25th, 2023, in Madison Wisconsin. The date for our Spring Rallye is Sunday April 16th, 2023, and the date for our Low-Speed event is Sunday August 13th, 2023.

Membership: Gale Brown – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Gale know, he’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Gale know so he can update the information. The Club ends the year with 140 members of those 13 Lifetime and 5 Honorary. Going into 2023 the Club will have 124 members. Gale thanked everyone for their support during his term as Membership Director. Randy and Jane Huber, Honorary members were visiting. Deanna said she met a person, Jim Wickwire who has a white C1 and will contact him with Club information. Questions asked if it was possible to have Ericksen’s give a Club card to anyone buying a Corvette.

Social: Carl Burney – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. Dec. 10 Award Banquet Riverfront Grille 4619 34th St. Rock Island IL. from 1-4pm. No Dinner club this month. Breakfast club Dec. 13, meet at 9 am at QC USA Family Restaurant 4910 22nd Ave. Moline IL. Euchre night was a big success, will be held again Jan. 14th at Donna’s, contact Donna Jochim if interested in information. Carl has a questionnaire on the Club website to give places you may want to go for meals that you can fill out. Carl may be planning an overnight in 2023 to the VOLO museum around the Chicago area. Sean McKay is going on a weekend drive to Lake of the Ozarks for the Margaritaville car show April 27-30th, if interested in going, contact Sean for more information.

Speed: Butch Thomsen – No report. Butch thanked the BOD and members for all their help with events during the year. This was the Thomsen’s last meeting with the Club.

Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails. Stated that the Facebook page has been updated per the members list.

Charity: Donna Jochim – 50/50 winners were Linda Thomsen and Jeff Olson. A motion to transfer money from the main account to the charity account to cover Christmas donations was mad by Rick Sherman and seconded by Bill Ingersoll. Motion carried. Deanna stated that as a Club we should be proud of the contributions made this year. Auction items were C6 metal emblem – Bryan Glossop, C7 ZR1 diecast car – Roger Miller, Scentsy wax bundle – Deanna Glossop, Bath & Body Works liquid hand soaps – Sherri Brown and a 4-berry pie – Sean McKay. Charity donations this year will go to: QC Mission, Youth Hope, SOJO Womens Shelter/Project Now, Sisters of Humility, United Way QC, CASI, Camp Courageous, Hope at Brick House, Gilda’s Club, The Nest Cafe, Vietnam Veterans Chapters 669 and 299, Christian Care Center, Childrens Therapy of QC, Gigi’s Playhouse of QC, Brantley Francis Foundation, River Bend Food Pantry, Community Actin of Eastern Iowa and King’s Harvest Ministries.

Car Shows: Roger Miller – Car Shows are on the Calendar. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Roger know. Thanked Carl Burney and John Severs for getting the crew together that wanted to go to Rosemont for the Muscle Car and Corvette National car show. Chicago has their big car show in February.

Publicity: Open position

Parades: Jim Scranton – No report.

Quartermaster: Kathy Nelson & Rita Painter – Rita talked about the club donating a shirt to new members, talk to Tom Pospisil see if Eriksens would cover cost, maybe a first-year membership free, a certificate to Corvette buyers that they could redeem, the membership decided the BOD should talk about these ideas and then bring something to the membership of the best idea. Sue Severs brought up the clothing allotment for the Quartermaster and a motion to give Rita $ for new clothing was made by Donna Jochim and seconded by Sharon Morrissey. Motion carried.

Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report.

Sunshine: Linda Thomsen – Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. 2 cards were sent out. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Linda. This was Linda’s last meeting.

Old Business: Road Adventures tickets by silent auction will be awarded at the Banquet Dec. 10th to the highest bidder.

New Business: Deanna welcomed the incoming Board of Directors. Kristin Early had been nominated and elected to the Treasurer position, but she would really like the Membership position. The BOD discussed this and was in favor of the change, brought it before the membership and the membership also approved the Board position change. That leaves us with the Vice President and Treasurer positions open. They need to be filled. Please think about this and know that you will be helped in these roles and helping the Club to continue forward. Bill Ingersoll thanked Deanna for stepping in and up to finish out the year as President of the Club.
All were asked to help clean up the meeting room and invited to Legends for a meal.
