President Deanna Glossop called the meeting to order at 6:29PM. There were 45 members present and 0 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..

Nomination forms available for 2023 Board of Directors will be tallied during the meeting and read under New Business. The drawing for the one-time disbursement of the Al Fiscus Memorial funds were held with 11 entries from the Club and 9 entries from Eriksens. Erica Walker drew the first entrant, and 2 Club members drew the other 2 entrants. Names drawn for the scholarship money were Samantha Severs, Kaitlyn Parker and Alexander Earnest. Congratulations! Jeff Olsen made up some cards with instructions on programing the radios we use on drive-outs and such.

Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Ross Scott and seconded by Randy Carlz. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Sherri Brown – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Credits were Member Dues, Awards Banquet, Transfer from Charity to Reconcile Previous Donations and Dividend. Debits were: PS3 Enterprise-Low Speed Event expense, Gale Brown Reimbursement Betty Nelson Flowers (Mother of Bob Nelson), Gale Brown Reimbursement postage and Deanna Glossop Reimbursement David Hannah Flowers Son of Bob and Judy Hebestreit). Charity: Credits were: 50/50, Birthday/Anniversaries and Auction (miscellaneous Corvette items and apple pie). Debits were Transfer to Main Account to Reconcile previous donations, Savings Account Main and Charity: no change. Motion to accept the Treasurer Report made by Mike Alvarado and seconded by Joanie Keil. Motion carried. Two Thank You cards were read from Bob and Kathy Nelson and Class Corvette Club (Galesburg).

Governor’s Report: John Severs – NCCC has some changes for the Autocross, on flier information, safety and not allowing any electric vehicles to participate. Museum Plant tours have started again and if you were supposed to receive one with the museum delivery from the year 2017 to present you can schedule your tour now.

Membership: Gale Brown – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Gale know, he’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Gale know so he can update the information. The Club has 140 members, there were no visitors or new Corvettes. Membership List is on the website.

Social: Carl Burney – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. Oct. 8 Tanner Drive Out meets at Eriksens at 9:30am., Leave at 10am. Led by Mike and Deb Alvarado. Oct. 13 Breakfast at Berries 1295 Eagle Ridge Rd. LeClaire IA. at 9am. Oct. 14-16 Winona Fall Drive Out meets at Cabo’s Eldridge IA. at 9am., leave at 9:30am. Led by Rick Sherman. Oct 23 Baxa’s Sutliff Store and Tavern meets at Farm and Fleet (Northwest Blvd) at 9:30am., Leave at 10am. After lunch there drive to Sutliff Farms and Cider House. Oct. 27 Dinner at One Hundred West at 6pm. Dec. 10 Awards Banquet 1-4pm. Riverhouse Grill. April 29 Car Show Lake of the Ozarks (maybe a drive there, more info to come, contact Sean McKay). Deanna Glossop thanked the Severs’ for hosting the chili potluck and Carl Burney for the great selections for the Breakfast and Dinners that have been planned throughout the year.

Speed: Butch Thomsen – No Report

Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails. Reminded for everyone that the November meeting is Election of Board of Directors. Deanna and Bryan Glossop presented a letter to Nominate Tom Pospisil of Eriksens for Honorary Membership, as next year will be 40 years that Eriksens will have sponsored our Club. This will be voted on at the November meeting along with Randy and Jane Huber also up for Honorary Membership.

Charity: Donna Jochim – 50/50 winners were Bill Morrissey IV and Randy Carlz. Donna is looking for Christmas Charities to give to this year, so send her your ideas. It’s getting cold outside so time to move things indoors. Euchre Night Saturday Nov. 12 at 5pm. Donna’s place 135 Beacon Harbor Pkwy (in the Quarter behind JD Harvester). Do not need a partner, she can find you one. Table also for those who don’t play, bring a dish to share (couples only 1 dish), BYOB, $5 entry fee for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, quarters in case you go set. Any questions or want to sign up contact Donna and also let her know if you need to cancel as soon as you can. A motion for a donation to Ryan Jochim who has cancer was made by Carol Mathis and seconded by Bill Ingersoll. Motion carried. A motion for a donation to Pam Shirley a FL. hurricane victim was made by Deanna Glossop and seconded by Robbie Bentley. Motion carried.

Parades: Jim Scranton – No Report.

Quartermaster: Kathy Nelson & Rita Painter – Rita had new tank tops in both cotton and silky material and hats. She told members she now has a build date for her C8 Corvette. It is Oct. 10 which was Mike’s birthday. She will be selling her 2005 C6. Rita also thanked the Club for cards, texts and emails when she had surgery.

Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report.

Sunshine: Linda Thomsen – Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Linda. 2 cards were sent out, Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted, and Carl Burney retired from the fire department after 26 years.

Old Business: Road America Road Tours silent auction tickets for 2023 sheet is still available for bids and will be awarded at the Awards Banquet Dec. 10th.
The Board of Directors would like the Membership to consider some wording additions added to the Club Constitution, page 2, section E. LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP.
It states now:
1. Lifetime membership will be conferred upon any member with 25 cumulative years of membership.
2. Lifetime members will be recognized at the annual Awards Banquet.
3. MWC dues and NCCC dues will be waived for lifetime members.
The additions would include
3. MWC dues will be waived for Lifetime Members, the Club will pay the NCCC dues, but once a Lifetime Member opts out of NCCC, they will have to contact the Membership Director to ask to be added back in.
4. Lifetime Members do not need to own a Corvette, but if no Corvette is owned, they will have no voting privileges. If a Corvette is owned, then they will have voting privileges.
As per the Constitution this was read at the meeting and is tabled until the next monthly meeting where it will be voted on.
