President Quint Early called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 37 members present and 1 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..
Signup sheet for the Volo Museum trip August 5/6 was passed. Lake of the Ozarks weekend drive is end of this month. Winona trip is first part of October. Spring Rallye is this Sunday. Reminder if you want to donate for Birthday/Anniversary/Name Tags/Club Anniversary please do so when getting 50/50 tickets at the beginning of the meeting. And as you win the bid for auction items to come forward to pay right away. Alvarado’s won the 2022 regional car show award, congratulations! The Club has a new Treasurer starting with the May meeting, Bob Hebestreit has agreed to help by filling this position. Thank you, Bob!
Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – Got Nothing. No one reported any mistakes in the Minutes to the Secretary. The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Mike Alvarado and seconded by Bill Ingersoll. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Open – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Credits were: Rallye Registrations, New Members, Spring Bash Seed Money and Dividend. Debits were: Reimburse Jochim Spring Bash Seed Money, NCCC for Wilson, Bryant and Wynes, Reimburse Severs Governor’s Meeting and Reimburse Early Spring Bash. Charity: Credits were: 50/50/Birthdays/Anniversaries
Governor’s Report: John Severs – Got Nothing, No Report
Membership: Kristin Early – Got Nothing (laughing). If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Kristin know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Kristin know so she can update the information. Jeff Olson, new plate Fun C7, Terry Johnson new plate BR NKD, Rita Painter plate 4MikeP, Waldo Arnholz new email (Governor will make changes for NCCC).
Social: Carl Burney – Got Nothing (laughing). We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. April 13 Breakfast meets 9 am. QC Pancake House. 1831 3rd Ave. Rock Island IL. April 16 Spring Rallye Registration 8 am. Eriksen Chevrolet 325 1st Ave. Milan IL. April 22 Alexander’s Drive out meet 9:30-leave at 10am. McDonalds 1800 36th Ave. Moline IL. April 25 Dinner 6 pm. Mission BBQ 2815 E 53rd St. Davenport IA. April 27-30 Lake of the Ozarks weekend meet at Noon (mile marker 28) Rest Area on I74East. May 6 Petty Garage Day 3pm. 305 106th Ave. Milan IL. they will have a Taco bar, bring own chairs, dish to share, drink of choice (they will have pop & water). July 23 Christmas in July Scott Co. Park Hickory Hills Shelter House, white elephant gift exchange and games, more info to follow. August 13 Low Speed 7am Brady Street Stadium, more info to follow. August 26 Vettes on the River LeClaire IA. Winona weekend Oct 6-8. Plaza Hotel 507-453-0303, block under Mid-West Corvette Club, deadline to book Sept. 5. Contact Quint/Kristin Early for details. April 27-29 2024 weekend Waterfalls and Wineries, Decorah IA. Country Inn and Suites 563-387-9011, block under Mid-West Corvette Club.
Speed: Sean McKay – Sunday April 16 Spring Rallye, Registration begins at 8 am. Volunteers need to be at Eriksen’s at 7 am. Do not need to drive a Corvette, or have NCCC number, Anyone can participate in this, Must have 2 persons in the car, a driver and a navigator. Sean asked for $ for prize and seed money. Motion made by John Severs and seconded by Carol Mathias. Motion carried.
Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails. (Got Nothing, absent.)
Charity: Donna Jochim – (Got Nothing, laughing) Thanked the Spring Bash committee and all those who came out to participate. Great turnout and $ made for Charity fund. Asked for donation to Izzak Walton League. Motion made by Sue Severs and seconded by Terry Johnson. Motion carried. 50/50 winners were Debi McKay and Deb Alvarado. Sara De Frang is going to Cuba for a Church Mission and is looking for donations. Motion for a Club donation for this was made by Robbie Bentley and seconded by Karen Brown. Motion carried. Basket for the taking left in Club cabinet, Banana cream pie winning bid was Kristen Early, seat cushion and Corvette travel mug winning bid was Bob Hebestreit, cord reel winning bid was Bob Brown, potato rolls winning bids to John Severs and Quint Early. There are a couple of Corvette shirts(women’s) if you are interested in for a $5 donation to Charity.

Car Shows: Roger Miller – Someone from the Club sent Roger information on a car show, if it was you, would you please resend it to Roger, he misplaced the information. Car Shows are on the Calendar. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Roger know.
Publicity: Open position
Parades: Jim Scranton – Got Nothing.
Quartermaster: Rita Painter – Got Nothing (Laughing). No new items to discuss. Winning bids on “Drive Rita’s Car” from Spring Bash silent auction went to Carl Burney, John Severs, Sean McKay and Quint Early.
Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report. (Got Nothing).
Sunshine: Cindy Kuehner – 3 cards were sent out last month. Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted, along with Membership in the Club Anniversaries. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Cindy.
Photos: Karen Brown – If you have photos of drive outs or Club events, you can email them to kjbudelierbrown@gmail.com and she will select some to send on to the webmaster for posting to the website.
Old Business: The postcard sized Club information sheets are done, and some were given to Erica (Eriksen Rep) for giving to anyone buying a Corvette from the dealership. Members can take a few for passing out as well.
New Business: Show of hands vote for our place to have a meal after the Business Meetings was taken. Choices were Legends or Luli’s. Luli’s got the most votes so this will be the place to go after the meetings. Denny Waddell and his guest Fay Anderson were present. Denny bought a Corvette again. It is a 2001 Navy Blue Metallic convertible.
