President Quint Early called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 33 members present and 2 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..
Sign-up sheets for Spring Bash and Lake of the Ozarks and Spring Rallye were passed around. Beginning in March the Club would like you to donate your Birthday/Anniversary and No Name Tag monies (if you wish to donate) at the beginning of the meeting, while purchasing the 50/50 tickets and to come up and pay for any auction item that you purchase as soon as you win the bid. We will also start to recognize the years you have been with the Club each month. This will give Donna the time she needs to tally the money before the end of the meeting. The Club will be going to Luli’s after the meetings as Legends is now closed on Monday and Tuesday. Open Position – Treasurer, this is an opportunity to serve on the MWC Board of Directors. If you can balance your checkbook, you are qualified to serve as Treasurer.
Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Told the members that there were a couple of errors in the Board of Directors names and the Chairpersons names list at the end of the minutes last month and that those would be corrected with this month’s minutes as had been discussed with the webmaster. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Robbie Bentley and seconded by Carol Mathias. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Open – Kristin Early passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Credits were: Donation from Euchre. Debits were: Donna Jochim-reimbursemment PO Box annual fee, online Team 218 Web Mgmt Annual Invoice and Dividend. Charity: Credits were: 50/50, Birthdays/Anniversaries, No Name Tag and Auction items. Debits were: Gildas Club, Vietnam Veterans Chapter 669 and Camp Courageous. Savings Account Main and Charity: remain the same. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by Jeff Olson and seconded by Kathy Nelson. Motion carried.
Governor’s Report: John Severs – Reported the $ donation amount and the volunteer hours worked in 2022 for our Club that was sent in to NCCC. Everyone should have gotten or should be getting their NCCC cards in the mail. If you do not have yours by the end of the month, contact John.
Membership: Kristin Early – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Kristin know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Kristin know so she can update the information. We had 2 guests tonight Don and Patty Mavis who own a 2008 red convertible.
Social: Carl Burney – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. There is a calendar of drive out dates on the Facebook page and will be on the website as well that you can print off. These are the dates that you can use to sign up to plan and lead a drive out. Feb 8 at 9am Windmill Family Restaurant 1190 Avenue of the Cities East Moline IL. Dinner Club meet Feb 28 at 6 pm at Costa Del Mar Mexican Grill and Seafood 3852 N Brady Street Davenport IA. Spring Bash March 19 at 11:30-3:30 Izaac Walton League 8840 N Harrison St. Davenport IA. Will mock the 2022 Bash with Soup and Dessert cook off, games, 50/50, silent auction. Looking for volunteers, silent auction items, Corvette items. If you wish to donate you can bring to March meeting or contact Donna Jochim by text or email. Please remember to fill out the Social Questionnaire on the website under the Members drop down box.
Speed: Sean McKay – Spring Rallye April 16 meet at Eriksen Chevrolet 325 1st Ave. E. Moline IL. 8 am. Sign-up sheet was passed. Drive will be about 62 miles and right now considering mileage, questions and timed as the gimmicks. Contact Sean McKay for more information. Lake of the Ozarks Weekend Drive April 27-30th, organized by Sean and Debi McKay. Need to make hotel reservations Margaritaville before 3/14, phone number is 573-348-3131. Departs from east bound I74 rest area (mile marker 28) at 12:15pm. Low Speed Event August 13 meet Brady Street Stadium 7am.
Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails.
Charity: Donna Jochim – 50/50 winners were Del Traub and Jeff Olson. Thank Yous received from Christmas $ donations. Spring Bash lunch will be $5.00 per person and 50/50 tickets will be $5.00 for 10 tickets. There will be silent auction items and Corvette related items. Rita Painter is going to have a Drive her Corvette for an hour on the silent auction. Committee members are Bob/Kathy Nelson, Bob/Judy Hebestreit, Quint/Kristin Early, John/Sue Severs, Donna Jochim, Carl Burney and Rita Painter. This month’s auction items, coconut cream pie winning bid Bruce Petty, framed Corvette picture – Waldo Arnholz, Camaro parking sign & stickers – Jeff Bellmyer, steel C-6 emblem – Del Traub.

Car Shows: Roger Miller – Car Shows are on the Calendar. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Roger know. Roger mentioned 3 shows, Chicago, Monticello and Peoria. QC Auto show was discussed, they rotate, and this year is older cars. Tom Pospicil is pushing to have Corvettes again in the future as there was terrific feedback from last year.

Parades: Jim Scranton – no report
Quartermaster: Rita Painter – New items include lightweight jackets, long sleeve T-shirts and visors. Had Del show members his jacket he had embroidered. Rita’s details for the hour driving her Corvette are, top 3 bids win, she goes with, weather conditions, setting the time that works for both of you. Bidding starts at $50 and goes in $5 increments.
Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report.
Sunshine: Open Position – Beginning in March, Cindy Kuehner will be the chairperson. Thank you, Cindy! Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact a Board member until Cindy takes over. We would like any donations (Birthdays, Anniversaries, No Name Tags) given at the beginning of the night, preferably when purchasing the 50/50 tickets. We will be recognizing years with the Club beginning in March.

Old Business: Rick Sherman asked about a follow up on packets/club information, Eriksen’s giving to Corvette buyers. The Board will work on this topic at the next Board meeting as it’s still in progress.
New Business: Discussed other clubs having a booth/table at car shows, does it require paying to set up? Ask about setting up a table at QC show. Discussed the bags left over from 60th Anniversary being used for Club information to pass out. Still have VOTR glasses and Club flags. Dinner at Luli’s after meeting room was cleaned up and meeting adjourned at 7:20pm.
