President Quint Early called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 35 members present and 2 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..
Outgoing President Deanna Glossop handed over the gavel to Incoming President Quint Early. Quint spoke about the Treasurer position that needs to be filled. Please, as a member of the Club think about filling this position. We need someone to step up. We also need someone to take the Chair position of Sunshine. There will be much help along the way for you and if you are thinking maybe, you can let a Board of Directors person know of your interest.
Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Mike Alvarado and seconded by Bill Ingersoll. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Open – Sherri Brown stepped in to help and passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Credits were:
deposit Awards Banquet registration, Awards Banquet auction and supplies refund, New Member dues/Wilson and Dividend. Debits were: Transfer to Charity Account for yearly donations, Gale Brown-Reimbursement Awards Banquet Expense, Team 218-Annual renewal WP Forms software, Kristin Early-refund and Awards Banquet expense, Rita Painter-reimbursement Quartermaster expenses, Linda Thomsen- Reimbursement Awards Banquet expense and Riverfront Grille charge excluding credit card charge and Gale Brown-reimbursement UPS Mailers to Bogert and Hersey. Charity Credits were: 50/50, Birthdays/Anniversaries, No Name Tag and Auction and Transfer to Charity Account from Main Account for yearly donations. Charity Debits were: CASI, King’s Harvest Ministries, Youth Hope, River Bend Food Pantry, United Way QC Times Wish List, Sisters of Humility, Children’s Therapy Center of the QC, SOJO Womens Shelter, Vietnam Veterans of America-QC Chapter 299, QC Mission, Brantley Francis Foundation, Gigi’s Playhouse QC, Hope at Brick House, Christian Care and The Nest Cafe. Savings Accounts Main and Charity remain the same. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by John Severs and seconded by Rick Sherman. Motion carried. Sherri thanked Donna for helping get the Charity checks ready to be sent out.
Governor’s Report: John Severs – Discussed that the year-end audit of the books was done. Those present for the audit were Ron Mathias, Sherri Brown and John Severs. The books were in great shape.
Membership: Kristin Early – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Kristin know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Kristin know so she can update the information. Our newest member is Keith Wilson who owns a 1960 White C1 Convertible. Our guests at the meeting were Alan and Sue Shannon who own a 1991 White C4.
Social: Carl Burney – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. January 12 Breakfast meet at Hickory Gardens Family Restaurant 3311 Hickory Grove Rd. Davenport IA. 9am. January 14 Euchre Tournament & Potluck 135 Beacon Harbor Pkwy. East Moline IL. (Donna Jochim’s) 5 pm. Contact Donna to sign up or for more information. January 26 Dinner Club meet at Spinner’s Pizza 319 1st Ave. Milan IL. 6pm. Lake of the Ozarks drive out-car show April 27-30 being organized by Sean and Debi McKay. Hotel reservations Margaritaville Lake Resort 573-3483131. Contact Sean for more information. Social Questionnaire on the website under Members dropdown box for those who have ideas on things to do or places to visit. Please fill it out and submit it.
Speed: Sean McKay – Thoughts are beginning for setting up the Spring Rallye and Sean will be looking for volunteers to help. April 16 is the chosen date, so save the date and come have some fun.
Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails.
Charity: Donna Jochim – 50/50 winners were Sue Shannon and Jeff Olson who both donated the winnings back to Charity. Rita brought in 3 shirts that you can purchase with the $ going to Charity. Berry pie was a hot item, first winning bid to Rita Painter, who said to auction it again and Sherri Brown got it with the second bid. Friendly House has asked to be put on our end-of-year donations list. Many, many Thank Yous have come in from the donations that were made at the end of the year.

Parades: Jim Scranton – no report
Quartermaster: Rita Painter – Rita talked about the website and ordering. Will not have any new items for a while as there is plenty to choose from for the upcoming weather. May get some sweatshirts/jackets closer to fall. Asked if the Club was thinking of going to Bowling Green anytime soon, as she’d like to go, told still waiting to hear on museum bricks (Al Fiscus Memorial), which was when the Club was thinking of doing a drive.
Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report.
Sunshine: Open Position – Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted by President Quint. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact a Board member.

Old Business: No old business to discuss.
New Business: Is anyone interested in doing a Spring Bash again this year? We will need a committee if there is enough interest and people to help out. Asked about the QC Auto Show and if we were participating this year, think last year was because someone had to pull their display at the last minute, so we were asked to help fill the spot. John Severs is checking into doing a drive out to Camp Courageous again this year, more information to follow. Kathy Nelson was presented her award at the meeting since she couldn’t make it to the Awards Banquet. Members applauded Quint at the end of his first meeting.
Members were asked to help clean up the meeting room and invited to Legends afterward.
