President Darrell Amato called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

31 members were present and 1 guest. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders.

Frank Perez and Jerry Porter talked about Veteran Chapter 669 and the donations they give to Veterans. Their money maker is Bingo nights which due to Covid have not been held.

Secretary’s Report: The minutes will only be posted to the website.  A motion to accept the July minutes as submitted was made by Tom Hampton and seconded by Linda Thomsen. Motion carried.

Treasurers’  Report: Shirley Schneider  passed a current Club’s balance sheet around the room. Credits were Interest and NCCC Membership Renewal Fees. Debits were none.  Charity: Credits were 50/50, No Name Tags, Birthdays and Anniversaries and Donation from Rita Painter for Food Boxes( C.A. of Eastern Iowa). Debits were C.A. of Eastern Iowa(Food Boxes). Motion to accept Treasurer report made by Bill Ingersoll and seconded by Butch Thomsen. Motion carried. Shirley read a Thank You letter from C.A. of Eastern Iowa.

Governor’s Report:  Al Fiscus reported that most everything is cancelled, listings are on NCCC.org under midwest region.

Membership: Gale Brown was absent. We have 104 members with 14 being Lifetime.  If you have any changes let Gale Brown know. John and Kathy Earnst, returning members,  have a new dark red 2020 C8 and Mike and Deede Heard have a blue 2016 ZO6.

Social:  Jean Amato heads up Social this year. Check the website calendar!  August 9 meet at Ascentra Credit Union in LeClaire at 9:30am, driver meeting 9:45am, leave 10 am. Headed to Scott County Park, bring a picnic lunch, drink and chair.  August 30 Open Drive Out, to be determined,  meet at Ascentra in LeClaire 9:30. If anyone has ideas or would like to lead a drive out, contact Darrell and Jean.

Speed: Butch Thomsen heads up Speed this year.  No report as everything has been cancelled.

Communications:  Denny Waddell had no report as his dog, who he calls Satan, has kept him busy.

Charity: Sherri Brown was absent.  Winners of 50/50 were  Sue Severs and Rita Painter(who both donated it back to Charity). Bob Nelson and Kathy Ragona held an auction of items Rita Painter brought in with money going to Charity.

Webmaster:  Please use the website. If you have any questions contact Chuck Hersey. You should all be getting emails on a regular basis.

Car Show: Roger Miller will be doing this for the year. Links on website! If you know of any local car shows, let Roger know.  Geneseo is doing a “shoot the loop” drives once a month. You can go to their facebook page Geneseo Shoot the Loop for information.

Publicity: Jean Amato. No report.

Parade: The general feeling of the membership was that we do not need a chairperson for this position. No one knew of any upcoming parades.

Quartermaster:  Kathy Ragona.  No orders will be taken at the meetings as it is all online on the website now. If you have any problems contact Kathy and she will help you through it. Clothing tab is now on main page of website, no password needed to access.

Historian: Waldo Arnholz. If you have photos from the last 10 years of Club events Waldo would appreciate it if you could share them as he is working on compiling photos for the 60th Anniversary party. He can give you a thumb drive to put them on for him.

Sunshine: Sharon Morrissey was absent and asks that you contact her with any information. August Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. 1 get well card sent to a former member and 1 sympathy card sent to a member in the past month.

Old Business: Discussion of the 60th Anniversary photo. Gale has made contact with 6 photographers and has  their bids and is still trying to contact 3 others. Once that is done the Board of Directors will meet and make a recommendation, then bring the recommendation before the membership for approval.

New Business:  Decided that the short drive outs with picnic lunch or outside venue, possibly box lunches were the way to continue for the foreseeable driving season. Several venues were discussed with a possible Apple River Canyon drive Sept. 20th. October is Board of Directors nomination month with voting in November. Tom Marckese talked about the Novi Stretch front car protection.  Asked members to help clean up the meeting room and all were invited to City Limits if they so chose to go. Motion to adjourn made by John Severs and seconded by Butch Thomsen. Meeting adjourned at 8:01 pm.
