President Quint Early called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 36 members present and 1 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..
Reminder to set phones to silent, wear nametags to all Club functions and donate for Birthdays/Anniversaries/No Name Tag at the beginning of the meeting if wishing to do so. Sign-ups passed for Spring Bash, NCCC funds report, Breakfast/Dinner/Ice Cream. Sprint car Hall of Fame/museum and race interest, Jeff Bellmyer will get more information.
Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Reported that, at the end of the Minutes, where the Board of Directors and Chairpersons are listed, that for Jan. and Feb. it had the year 2023, it has now been updated to 2024. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Randy Carlz and seconded by Mike Alvarado. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Income was: none. Expense was: Web Page Annual Fee and Spring Bash Prizes. Charity: Income was: 50/50, Auction and Donations. Expense was: none. Motion to pay Web page annual Fee made by Marie Foster and seconded by Carol Mathias. Motion carried. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by Carol Mathias and seconded by Marie Foster. Motion carried.
Governor’s Report: John Severs – Should have received NCCC cards by mail. NCCC may be raising their fees, has been 20 years since a raise occurred. Asked membership for NCCC ideas to save money. Those given were to cut meetings to 2-3 per year instead of the 4 that are currently held, use Zoom meetings instead. Cards could be sent to the Governor of each Club for all Members to be passed out cutting mailing costs, card with no date and issue a sticker to put on the card for the current year and a cap on expenses for those attending meetings. Ask about where the sponsorship $ are going.
Membership: Kristin Early – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Kristin know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Kristin know so she can update the information. And don’t forget – members can update their information themselves including any updates to your Corvette model, year, color, and license plate. Our visitor was Jim Walters who has a 2024 white with blue stripes LT3 Corvette, he moved here in 2022 from Washington DC. Kristin has asked to start a Membership drive. It will run from March 1-August 31. Each visitor invited to attend a meeting = 1 point for the member that recruited. Each one that joins between March and August = 2 points for the member that recruited. At the September meeting the winners will be announced. First place, one year renewal membership dues paid for, Second place $25 and Third place $10. Motion to go forward with this made by Bruce Petty and seconded by Sean McKay. Motion carried.
Social: Donna Jochim – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. Breakfast March 11- 9 am at QC Pancake House 1831 Third Ave. Rock Island IL. Dinner March 21- 6pm at Montana Jacks 5400 27th St. Moline IL. Spring Bash April 6- 11 am at Izaak Walton League 8840 N Harrison St. Davenport IA. need volunteers to bring soup or dessert and run one of the games, contact Jan Ebert. Silent Auction items can be directed to Jan as well. Open drive out April 13 9:30 am meet at former Ascentra Credit Union 949 Mississippi View Ct. LeClaire IA. leave at 10 am. April 21 Spring Rallye, Eriksen’s Chevrolet 325 1st Ave E Milan IL. registration at 8 am, first car out at 9:30. Contact Jeff Bellmyer to volunteer or with questions. April 27-29 Waterfalls and Wineries weekend, 8:30 am meet at QC Mart 2576 190th St. Welton IA. leave 9 am. Country Inn and Suites Decorah IA. to reserve room under Mid-West Corvettes block until 3/29 563-387-9011. April 25-28 Corvettes In Paradise weekend meet 9 am mile marker 28 on I-74 Eastbound, Krisdala Baka Rest Area leave 9:15 am. Host resort Margaritaville 494 Tan-Tar-A Drive Osage Beach MO. 573-348-3131 for reservations block under Mid-West Corvettes until 3/14. Registration for car show LOCC Annual Car Show (locc2010.net) and on website calendar. May 11 Chevrolet Hall of Fame drive out. More info to follow, other Clubs have been asked to join us. August 24-25 Low Speed Event at Brady Street Stadium 7 am. Oct. 18-20 Winona MN Weekend. 8:15 am. Leaving Cody Road Coffee in LeClaire 8:30 am. Plaza Hotel reservations under MWC 507-453-0303 until Sept. 9.
Speed: Jeff Bellmyer – Jeff will be looking for volunteers for the Spring Rallye. We have 4 sanction points this year to use. Anyone can participate, does not have to be a Corvette. This will be held April 21st starting at Eriksen’s Chevrolet Milan, IL. Registration starts at 8 am. First car out at 9:30 am.
Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails. Michelle reported there are 72 members on the Facebook page and 101 on the email list.
Charity: Jan Ebert – 50/50 winners were Bill Ingersoll and Waldo Arnholz, both donated it back to Charity. Jeff Olson’s Apple Pie auction winner was Rita Painter, who then gave it to Jeff Bellmyer for all his work with the Bend Expo Auto Show and Jeff Olson also gave Jeff Bellmyer a loaf of Swedish Rye bread for his work at the Auto Show. Michelle Ingersoll requested a donation for Dennis Crouse who has cancer. Motion made by Kristin Early and seconded by Cindy Kuehner. Motion carried.

Car Shows: Jeff Bellmyer – Car Shows are on the Mid-West Corvettes Calendar on the. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Jeff know. Reported we had 10 cars at the Regional Auto Show, thanked those who brought their cars. Told of surprise requirements going into building. Remarked that it was fun and had some people inquiring about our Club.

Parades: Jim Scranton – Absent. No report.
Quartermaster: Rita Painter and Patti Bellmyer – Patti was absent, nothing new, trying to sell inventory that they have before getting anything new. Can order anything you want in at any time. Rita enjoyed the Auto show and Thanked the guys for watching over the cars.
Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report.
Sunshine: Cindy Kuehner – Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Cindy. 2 cards were sent and flowers for past member Denny Meyer’s visitation.

Old Business: A Competition Award was presented to Mike and Deb Alvarado, who were unable to attend the year end Awards banquet.
New Business: Club Banner- suggested to trim it with just the logo, possibly add the website or a QR code to it, have a new one made. Motion for a new one was made by Jeff Olson and seconded by Sean McKay. Motion carried. May is Club Anniversary month. Motion for cake and water was made by Ron Mathias and seconded by Marie Foster. Motion carried. Christmas in July picnic was discussed. Could be just a picnic but need to reserve the shelter at Scott County Park. Carol Mathias will do that. John Severs will lead a drive out. Anyone wish to head this up a chairperson? Shelia Petty said that their Car Fun Day will be September 21 at their place, starts about 1 pm. Asked members to help clean up meeting room and all invited to Luli’s afterward.
