President Quint Early called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 35 members present and 1 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..
Reminder to set phones to silent, wear nametags to all Club functions and donate for Birthdays/Anniversaries/No Name Tag at the beginning of the meeting if wishing to do so. Signup sheet passed for Party in the Park July 27th, for head count and side dishes to share. A request for $ to have Hy-Vee cater chicken for this event. Motion made by Bill Morrissey III and seconded by Sherri Brown. Motion carried.
Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Bill Ingersoll and seconded by John Severs. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Income was: Donation to offset Governor’s Expense and Spring Bash Seed Money Returned. Expense was: Kiely and Huff Flowers, Governor’s Meeting Expense and Club Anniversary Cake. Charity: Income was: Monthly Meeting Raffle and Auction. Expense was: Donation to Camp Courageous. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by Carol Mathias and seconded by Gary Huff. Motion carried.
Governor’s Report: John Severs – Was asked about NCCC President’s message on options to reduce costs. Things to consider are eliminate Membership Cards, eliminate National and Regional Patches, change National Meetings to 3 times a year instead of the 4 that are currently held, change Blue Bars to 3 a year instead of the current 4 publications and going forward New Clubs must be 100% NCCC members. Club members are asked to let the Governor know what they think on this matter as it will be brought up at the National Meeting in September and the Governor is the voice for our Club vote.
Membership: Kristin Early – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Kristin know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Kristin know so she can update the information. And don’t forget – members can update their information themselves including any updates to your Corvette model, year, color, and license plate. We currently have 119 Members. Our visitor was Ed Eden who has been a previous Club member and bought his ’69 from the original owner of Eriksen’s. He still owns this car and also has a 2014 Corvette as well.
Social: Donna Jochim – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. Knoxville drive out June 8-9 leaves Muscatine Farm and Fleet 3300 N Highway 61 at 9 am. Driver Meeting at 8:45. Ice Cream Club June 11 meets at Cups& Cones 401 11th St. DeWitt, IA. bring a lawn chair, if it rains meet at Smiley’s 911 11th St. Dewitt, IA. instead. Want to drive with others, meet at the base of I74 bridge Riverstone Group 190 22nd St. Moline IL. leaving at 6 pm. Ethan Ellis graduation party if you want to meet and go as a group, we will meet at Luli’s and proceed from there at 11:45 am to Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 91 JACT at 8124 42nd St. W Rock Island IL. If wishing to send Ethan a card directly his address is 1820 24th Ave. Moline IL. 61265. Open Drive Out June 29 meet at former Ascentra Credit Union 949 Mississippi View Ct. Le Claire IA. at 9:30 am., leave at 10 am. Party in the Park July 27th, info to come on drive out part. The August 4 Drive Out is being moved to August 11th. Low Speed August 24-25 more information to follow. Car Show at Petty’s September 21 305 106th Ave. W Milan IL. starts at 2 pm. Will have a taco bar, everyone asked to bring a side dish, own drinks and chairs. Severs Annual Chili Potluck October 6 starts at noon at 2990 110th St. Wilton IA. Winona weekend October 18-20 leaves Cody Road Coffee 205 S 9th Ave Eldridge IA. driver meeting 8:45am, leave 9 am. Plaza Hotel reservations 507-453-0303 block MCC ends Sept. 18th. 2025 Waterfalls and Wineries will be May 17-19 Country Inn and Suites 563-387-9011 for reservations (2 nights) block under Mid-West Corvettes.
Speed: Jeff Bellmyer – Low Speed dates are August 24 and 25. We need a venue. He will be checking on the places he already has from previous suggestions. If you have ideas contact Jeff with them. He did inventory on the cones and believes we have enough and do not need to order any.
Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails. Michelle will be unavailable for email postings for the next 2 weeks but will return to it after that.
Charity: Jan Ebert – 50/50 winners were Sherri Brown and Ron Mathias, both donated back to Charity. Auction of a nylon adjustable belt went to Randy Carlz and a Corvette notebook went to John Severs.

If you have suggestions or ideas for website improvements, please let Chuck know. F.Y.I. Members are able to update information in your user profile including information on your Corvette such as Model, Year, Color, and License Plate #.
Car Shows: Jeff Bellmyer – Car Shows are on the Mid-West Corvettes Calendar on the website. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Jeff know. Bloomington Gold will on the 21st and 22nd in Bloomington IL.
Publicity: Open position
Parades: Jim Scranton – Absent. There is a Parade on Father’s Day in Geneseo IL.
Quartermaster: Rita Painter and Patti Bellmyer – T-shirts on sale and some nice gently used clothing for a donation to Charity.
Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Absent. Nothing to report.
Sunshine: Cindy Kuehner – Absent. Terry did the honors. 2 Thank Yous received were read and 2 cards were sent out. Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Cindy.

Old Business: Reminder of the ongoing Membership contest. Bring a guest = 1 point, if they become a member = 2 points. Points added up the end of August. 1st place -1-year membership paid, 2nd and 3rd places are $.
