October 1, 2024
President Quint Early called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 38 members present and 1 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..
Reminder to set phones to silent, wear nametags to all Club functions and donate for Birthdays/Anniversaries/No Name Tag at the beginning of the meeting if wishing to do so. Board of Director nomination papers with a comment/question section were on all seats. Sign up for MCACN (Rosemont car show/shopping and dinner) and Award Banquet were passed.
Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Marie Foster and seconded by Jeff Bellmyer. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Income was: Membership Renewal, Award Dinner Reservations and Donations. Expense was: none. Charity: Income was: 50/50, Auctions and Donations. Expense was: Donation Correction to Main Account and Mary Roos Donation. Bill Ingersoll asked how much in the Main account was going to be paid out to NCCC, so the Members had an idea of how much was remaining. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by Carol Mathias and seconded by Kristin Early. Motion carried.
Governor’s Report: John Severs – The final tally from the Low-Speed Event is in. Since our Ralley would be on Easter the date was changed to April 27th and the Low Speed would have been during the National Convention, so the date was changed to May 17th. We will need to try and change those dates as the April date interferes with Sean McKay’s weekend drive out, car show to Missouri and the May date interferes with the Waterfalls and Wineries weekend drive out. There is talk of having a decibel meter at Low-Speed Events. Asked if the $ from the Low-Speed Event could be put into the Main Account to help bolster those funds. Motion made by Bill Ingersoll and seconded by Quint Early. Motion carried.

If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Kristin know so she can update the information. Another question was is there a set amount that needs to be in these accounts. By all rights, yes there is a set amount that needs to be kept in these accounts. Wondered how it is determined to donate to someone/party. Patti asked what the Club should do with the gently used clothing that no one has donated to Charity for.
