Vice President Jeff Olson called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 30 members present and 3 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all veterans, fallen, past and current military personnel, and first responders..

Reminder to set phones to silent, wear nametags to all Club functions, and donate for birthdays/anniversaries/no name tag at the beginning of the meeting if wishing to do so.

Patric Nichols is absent tonight due to surgery for a detached retina (third surgery for that!) so I’ll conduct the meeting (Jeff Olson).

Sign-up sheets are going around for Breakfast Club. Do you want to continue it for summer? Any discussion on this? Discussion had; decision is to continue the Breakfast Club. There will be a February Breakfast Club. Also, there’s euchre at Donna’s house on February 22.

Secretary’s Report: Jan Ebert – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Minutes were approved.

(I did not count the number of members present at this meeting.)

Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see.

Main Account:
Beginning balance $4,261.25
Income: $600 (Ericksen Chevrolet Club sponsorship).
Expenses: online pictures storage $89; post office box rent $182.
Ending balance: $4,590.25

Discussion had about the bill for $402 sent and then another $78 bill for pictures storage.

Motion to accept Treasurer’s Report made by Sharon Morrissey and seconded by Sherri Brown. Motion carried.

Governor’s Report: Roger Miller – Rallye flyers are done; will post in the NCCC website and our Facebook page. You should have or will be receiving your 2025 membership cards in the mail. Roger talked to Allen Morris, NCCC business manager, about the car show and getting an insurance certificate so we will be covered. John Severs said the form to get the certificate is done by sending a picture of it. Governor’s meeting is in St. Louis February 22; plans to attend.

Membership: Cindy Kuehner – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Cindy know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Cindy know so she can update the information. And don’t forget – members can update their information themselves including any updates to your Corvette model, year, color, and license plate.

We have two guests who would like to join our club. Mike and Candi Huffman, red 2001 Corvette purchased from Ericksen. Dave Hanigan (not sure on spelling), red 2008 C6, garage find with 4,444 miles on it.

Social: Donna Jochim – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out.

Breakfast Club will meet at Fresh Kitchen, East Moline, on Feb. 11, 9:00 a.m.

Euchre on Feb. 22 at Donna’s house at 5:00 p.m.; limit of 24 people. If you have signed up and can’t come, contact Donna so a replacement can be found.

Dinner Club on Feb. 25 at 6:00 p.m. at Mo Brady’s Steakhouse at 4830 Brady Street in Davenport.

Drive out to Ozarks; report by Sean, April 24-26.

65th Club anniversary committee has met; it’s set for May 3; more details will be coming; Donna Jochim is heading the committee.

Overnight drive out May 17-19 for Waterfalls and Wineries; Michelle and Bill Ingersoll and John and Sue Severs are organizing this.

Drive out to Black Hills Corvette Classic July 16-20, Sean McKay organizing it.

NCCC 2025 Convention is in Wisconsin Dells Aug. 17-22; we do not have an organized club trip for this.

Vettes vs. the Dragon, Sept. 11-14, this is with Glass Favorites Corvette Club.

Speed: Jeff Bellmyer – Nothing to report at this time; at the next meeting, he will have a sign-up sheet for help.

Communications: Jeff Olson – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Jeff and he can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email to sign up to receive emails.

Nothing new to report, but he is trying keep members up to date with emails.

Charity: Patti Bellmyer- Thank you received from Second Story Teen Center. Winner of the pasta sauce Kristyn Early; Kristyn also won the jar of salsa. Apple pie was won by John Severs. Raffle 50/25/25brought in $70; $18 to Bill Morrissey and $18 to Roger Miller; donated it back to the club.

Discussion about the storage of pictures on the website; checking to be sure the cost wasn’t billed/paid twice.

Car Shows: Jeff Bellmyer – No car shows at this time of the year in this area. The Chicago Auto Show is February 15.

Publicity: nothing reported

Parades: Jim Scranton – no report; absent.

Quartermaster: Rita Painter – shirts for the 65th anniversary; showed three different colors of gray. Discussion re prices. Orders need to be to Rita by the end of February. She will front the money for the orders; we’ll pay her when shirts are delivered.

Gale Brown: static window clings with MWC logo on it; $5, only have 50.

Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report.

Sunshine: Gail Olson – by Jeff Olson: Get well card to Sean McKay; get well card to Dan Thorngren; get well card to Patric Nichols.

Photos: Karen Brown – If you have photos of drive outs or Club events, you can email them to kjbudelierbrown@gmail.com.

Karen has been sent photos on the website; nothing was on since 2022. Gale Brown will be glad to to help with photos.

Old Business: Going back to the discussion re invoice for storage, $518 was paid as Carl just checked.

Sean gave a report on the cruise. 17 went on the cruise, 17 came home! It was a good trip.

To get funds into charity, Sean will run a mileage contest from Feb. 4 through Nov. 4. Cost is $20 per Corvette to participate. Take a picture of your odometer and text it to Sean as he’ll track it on a spread sheet. There will be three categories in which to win. 50% will go to charity.

Re car show to build membership; it was decided that May 3 was fast approaching to get everything done. Discussion whether to have it October 4, maybe 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. or possibly next spring if that doesn’t work. At Vettes on the River at the end of August, information about the show could be given to that captive audience. Motion carried for the car show to be Oct. 4.

New Business: Kristyn Early: Winona drive out will now be to LaCrosse instead; Oct. 17-19.

Gale Brown: Update of Hall of Honor page; someone who is no longer with us can be honored. Motion by Kristyn Early, seconded by Patti Bellmyer, motion passed to participate in this.

Dinner at Luli’s.
