President Patric Nichols called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. There were 49 members present and 1 guest. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all veterans, fallen, past and current military personnel, and first responders..

Reminder to set phones to silent, wear nametags to all Club functions and donate for Birthdays/Anniversaries/No Name Tag at the beginning of the meeting if wishing to do so.

Patric passed around clipboards with sign-up sheets for Breakfast Club, Dinner Club, April 2026 driveout sign up schedule. Take a picture of it so we get leaders for these. Signup sheet for the LaCrosse trip in October with the Early leading. June 6 Spring Hall of Fame, third year for this, Jeff Bellmyer is leading this event. Thursday April 16 Iowa Machine Shed with Terry and Cindy and it’s on Facebook. Spring Rallye volunteers are needed and there is a sign up for that.

The Board has a vacancy. The Social Director position is open. Please see any of the Board members about this.

Secretary’s Report: Secretary’s Report: Jan Ebert – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Michelle Ingersol, second by Marie Foster. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Summary: March balance in main account is $6,442.94. Charity account: Balance is $1,594.43. Motion to accept Treasurer’s summary made by Sue Severs, second by Sheila Petty; motion carried.

Governor’s Report: Roger Miller – not present.

Membership: Membership: Cindy Kuehner – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Cindy know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Cindy know so she can update the information. And don’t forget – members can update their information themselves including any updates to your Corvette model, year, color, and license plate.

We have quite a few new members since last meeting. Be sure you get your name tag from me. Eric and Susan (sorry, I don’t have your last name), Tom and Cindy Jacobson, Steve Meier, Brian and Chris Rappel. One guest tonight who is Conrad Anderson of Bettendorf. We now have 100 members with the newest members. Deanne and Bryan Glossop have been members of this club for 25 years.

Social: Social by Patric: Open position; please consider stepping up to fill this position. April 16 Iowa Machine Shed, event lead by Terry Johnson and Cindy Kuehner. Spring Rallye on April 19, meet at Eriksen, Jeff Bellmyer leading. Lake of the Ozarks Driveout, Corvettes in Paradise is April 23 – 26. NCCC is June 20-27 in Syracuse, NY. Kenny Anderson Low Speed event is July 11-12, hosted by Midwest Corvette Club and the Northern Rays Corvette Club. Beartooth Highway Driveout is August 18-24, hosted by Sean McKay.

Speed: Speed: Jeff Bellmyer – Allan Fiscus Memorial Spring Rallye on Sunday, April 19. Low Speed is at the Isle of Capri. June 6 is the Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville.

Communications: Communications: Jeff Olson – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Jeff and he can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email to sign up to receive emails. New members: we have a sheet with information regarding radios, etc. for driveouts.

Charity: Charity: Patti Bellmyer- Thank you card from Sean McKay family and from Christ Church for Sean’s father. Faye Anderson (Denny Waddell’s wife) sent a thank you card.

Cookies were won by Sheila Petty. Pie was won by Jeff Bellmyer. 50/25/25 winners of $20 each: Patric Nichols and Marilyn Rothenberger.

Sunshine: Sunshine: Gail Olson. Report by Jeff Olson: Birthdays and Anniversaries: it was noted that there were none this month. Some cards were sent. Card and memorial to Sean McKay on the passing of his dad. Flowers and donation to St. Jude’s were taken to Denny Waddell’s funeral. Flowers and a donation were taken to Sharon Langel’s funeral.

Old Business: Old Business: The MWC Club car show last year was a successful event. The intent is to have it again. It is an all-Corvette car show. Del and Terry will take the lead so it is a go. They will ask for a committee. It will be in October, about the same time as last year; probably October 3. The proceeds from the 65th anniversary car show last fall were $1,874.62 for St. Jude. The Central Illinois Car Club is having an event May 14-15 and the check will be dropped off with them for St. Jude. It’s $2,000 to enter the event. We have Sean; money will be combined with the Central Illinois Car Club. We are short $125.32. Do this in memory of Denny Waddell. Motion by Sue Severs, second by Sherri Brown to pay the $2125.32 to complete the $2,000. Motion passed.

New Business: New Business: Denny Waddell’s 2013 Corvette is for sale; just turned 20,000 miles; $38,500. Get ahold of John Severs if interested.
Next month’s 66th anniversary: any ideas as we’d like to do something. We have done cake every year and that will be around $100. Patric Nichols says we go with it! Jeff and Patti Bellmyer will take care of getting the cake. Drive out schedules: need to have leaders; you can find details about them on our website. Julie Nelson from Galesburg Club announced that their car show is June 20 from 9-11 at Yemm Chevrolet. She’ll get a flyer to Jeff Olson. Waterfalls and Wineries drive out will not be held this year since the Ozark trip is this year. Maybe every other year for Waterfalls and Wineries.
