Secretary’s Report: Jan Ebert – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Sue Severs and seconded by Quint Early. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Summary: April balance in main account is $5,046.73. Charity account: Balance is $1,466.92. Motion to accept Treasurer’s summary made by Sherri Brown, second by Bill Ingersoll; motion carried.

Governor’s Report: Roger Miller – At the Feb. Governor’s meeting, a proposed Standing Rule was brought to the floor. If passed, it would require a surcharge or head tax of twenty-five cents per entrant, per event, and workers, paid to NCCC for the purpose of financing the year-end competition awards. Only 10 percent of members participate in competition events. In our Regional meeting on Saturday morning, Dale Samuelson, our Regional Executive, asked for a show of hands and all but a couple of Governors were not in favor of this. I spoke up and stated that I looked at this proposal as coming out of the host clubs’ profits. For example, our recent Rallye with four events would have us owing $1.00 for everyone participating in all four events. For those not participating, but working, we would owe $.25 per event. Since we have a wedding to attend in Shelbyville, IL, on Saturday afternoon, I was unable to attend the NCCC meeting. Dale was going to use my proxy vote to vote no on this proposal.

I have only 2 bi-folds left from the NCCC which described what NCCC is about. Work is being done to update this bi-fold to explain more about the NCCC.

There are now 217 clubs in the NCCC with a total of 14,715 members. It was interesting to find out that two clubs that dropped out of the NCCC are now in the process of rejoining due to its insurance coverage.

2026 Convention is in Syracuse, NY. Only a limited time to register if you are interested in going. 2027 Convention will be in Bowling Breen and 2028 Convention will be in Waco, TX.

Each person must sign a waiver. Spouses/SO cannot sign for you.

A Federal Grant was given to remove concrete at the Rantoul Airport which is a popular spot for low-speed events. Many clubs are having a difficult time finding locations for low-speed events.

Jean Castle (spelling?), for NCCC, checked with five different insurance companies and they are all saying they can’t beat the deal we have with Legacy.
