President Patric Nichols called the meeting to order at 6:34PM. There were 33 members present and 9 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..
Reminder to set phones to silent, wear nametags to all Club functions and donate for Birthdays/Anniversaries/No Name Tag at the beginning of the meeting if wishing to do so.
Patric passed around clipboards with Dinner Club and Breakfast Club sign-up sheets. Please sign up to be a hostess for one or more events.
The Board has a vacancy. The Social Director position is open. Please see any of the Board members about this.
Committee vacancies: Publicity, Parade, and Photos.
Secretary’s Report: Jan Ebert – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Marie Foster, seconded by John Severs. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Carl is in Hawaii with Donna to celebrate his 70!!!! birthday. Patric passed around Carl’s Treasurer’s Report. Summary: Main account paid $192 for annual PO box and $79 to reimburse former webmaster Chuck for the app that is used to be able to add the minutes to the MWC’s website. $105 was also disbursed (not sure for what, sorry!) Balance in the main account is $5,983.18.
Charity account: Raffles brought in $82, received a memorial for $50 for American Diabetic Assn, donation of $200 to Anna and Whitney Olson for Job’s surgery. Balance is $1,420.13.
Motion to accept Treasurer’s summary (made by Patric Nichols) made by Kristin Early, seconded by Marie Foster. Motion carried.
Governor’s Report: Roger Miller – Governor’s meeting is later this month in St. Louis; Roger will be going. Roger thanked John Severs for the offer to cover for him, but Roger’s shoulder is healing nicely and he will be able to make the trip.
There isn’t a lot to report this time. Auto Cross has started in Florida. There was a winter Cross in Michigan in the snow.
Membership: Cindy Kuehner – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Cindy know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Cindy know so she can update the information. And don’t forget – members can update their information themselves including any updates to your Corvette model, year, color, and license plate.
Our guests tonight: Brian Rappel is a guest and has joined MWC, his wife (not present) is Christina. 2025 Stingray Z51 in Artic White. Anna and Whitney Olson with Gigi and Job. Four guests from Glass Favorites Corvette Club (Galesburg): Kenny and Julie, Mike and Dawn.
Social: Director’s position is open.
Dinner club meets on Thursday, February 26, 2026; hosted by Donna and Carl; 6:00 p.m., La Herradura Mexican Grill (Coal Valley), 201 W 2nd Avenue, Coal Valley, IL.
Speed: Jeff Bellmyer – There isn’t a lot going on right now. The Rallye is Sunday, April 19. At the March meeting, Jeff will send sign-up sheets for volunteers to help run it.
Al Fiscus Memorial is April 19 at Eriksen Chevrolet; meeting, then cars start at 9:30.
Lake of the Ozarks: Corvettes in Parades is April 23-26 at Margaritaville Resort at Osage Beach, Missouri. If interested, the discount for hotel ends on March 14. The “Corvettes in Paradise” car show keeps 100 cars inside and the rest are outside. If your car is inside, you don’t have access to it all weekend.
Communications: Jeff Olson – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Jeff and he can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email to sign up to receive emails.
When you sign up to host Dinner Club and/or Breakfast Club, please email the details to him so they are put into the Things to Remember emails.
Charity: Patti Bellmyer- Thank you card received from Debi McKay for the memorial sent by the Club on the passing of her mom. Thank you received from Nest Cafe for our donation in December.

Car Shows: Jeff Bellmyer – Car Shows are on the Mid-West Corvettes Calendar on the. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Jeff know.
Third Sheet Metal Show-Off Hot Rod & Racecar Show is February 14-15 at the Mississippi Valley Fair’s Fair Center/Iowa Building.
The 2026 Chicago Auto Show takes place Feb. 7-16 at McCormick Place. FYI, many car dealers in that area give away tickets.
Veterans Car Club of the Quad Cities has their show at the Mississippi Valley Fair Grounds March 27-29. There is some extra room in the building and the promoter would like to see eight Corvettes there, one from each class: C1-C8. If you’re interested in having your car there, please get in touch with Patric Nichols or Jeff Bellmyer.

Quartermaster: Rita Painter – absent due to having surgery on her hand, she is healing; no report.
Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report.
Sunshine: Gail Olson – Two cards sent in January: Get well card to Roger Miller for shoulder surgery; thinking of you card to Sheila Petty for all that she’s been through. Birthdays and anniversaries were noted.
Anna and Whitney Olson came to this meeting to thank MWCC for all of our support during Job’s medical situation. His heart surgery was two weeks and he is doing very well.
Thank you card was received from Randy and Jane Huber for the honor bestowed on them at the 2024 Awards Banquet. They now live in Texas.
