Vice-President Rick Sherman called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. 32 members were present and 2 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders.
Rick discussed the bicycles displayed at Eriksens and thanked Donna, Carl and Sharon for all they did on the project. Discussed the new PA system for the Club which was in use for the meeting.
Secretary’s Report: The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the November Minutes as submitted was made by Deanna Glossop and seconded by Butch Thomsen. Motion carried.
Treasurers’ Report: Sherri Brown passed around a current Club’s balance sheet for members to see. Credits were: New Membership, Eriksen Sponsorship and Interest. Debits were: NCCC Annual Membership Fees, iPROMOTEu and Denny Waddell-repayment Club PA System. Charity: Credits were: 50/50, No Name Tags, Birthdays, Anniversaries and Pie raffle. Debits were: Donna Jochim-repayment bicycles/helmets for Toys for Tots. Savings Account Main and Charity: Interest. Motion to accept Treasurer Report made by Carol Mathias and seconded by Linda Thomsen. Motion carried. A motion to reimburse Gale Brown for binders and mailings made by Tom Hampton and seconded by Bill Morrissey Sr. Motion carried.
Governor’s Report: Al Fiscus talked about our Club being the first in our region to get our NCCC dues in this year! New members dues have been sent.
Membership: Gale Brown reported that we have 122 members. Gale had information cards on Corvette Adventures June 9-11th in Wisconsin. Our visitors were Bill and Shelly Henson who moved to our area from Washington state where they belonged to a Corvette Club and have a 2015 Z06. If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club Name Tag let Gale know and he will get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Gale know so he can get the information corrected. Updated list is on the website. Rita Painter will pay any Club member/couple who brings in a new member $50 during the next year, with the idea that the new member attend at least 1 Business meeting and 2 other Events and the party receiving the money can keep it, donate a share of it to our Charity, or donate the full amount. New Corvette owner is Denny Waddell with a 2021 Red Mist Metallic Stingray.
Social: Winter Bash Charity fundraiser will be held on January 30th at the Izaak Walton League in Mount Joy from 11 AM to 3PM. Family and friends are invited and will be looking for a head count to be able to plan accordingly. There will be a soup and a dessert cook off. A signup sheet was passed for those wanting to attend and for soups and desserts. Need several volunteers to assist with activities and ask for an hour of your time the day of the event. Contact Donna Jochim, Sharon Langel or Carl Burney if you can help. Asked for $ for nominal prizes and disposable products. Motion made by Deanna Glossop and seconded by John Severs. Motion carried. Reminder of the “Keep Moving” campaign, meets on Tuesday nights at SouthPark Mall/ Dick’s Sporting Goods mall entrance at 5:30 pm.
Speed: Butch Thomsen. Said he may be passing a volunteer sheet in January to see who is interested in setting things up with him for Spring Ralley.
Communications: Rick Sherman heads communications. You all should be getting regular emails, usually 1 per week. If you are not getting these please contact any Board member or Chuck Hersey our webmaster for help. Deanna Glossop will head Communications in the next year and Rick will work with her as she takes over duties.
Charity: Donna Jochim. 50/50 winners were Sue Severs (donated back) and Sean McKay. Homemade breads and rolls were donated by Sue Severs to auction for Charity. Winning bids were Denny Waddell-French bread loaf, Rita Painter-dinner rolls, Waldo Arnholz-breadsticks and Deanna Glossop-cresent rolls. A motion for Christmas donations going to: Christian Care-Mens, Children’s Therapy Center QC, Gigi’s Playhouse QC, Bentley Francis Foundation, River Bend Food Pantry, Happy Joe’s Kids Foundation, Community action of Eastern Iowa, Kings Harvest, Vietnam Veterans Chapter 669 and Vietnam Veterans Chapter 299, made by John Severs and seconded by Carl Burney. Motion carried. A motion to move funds from Main Account to Charity Account to replenish funds was made by Carol Mathias and seconded by Jeff Olson. Motion carried.

Car Show: Roger Miller. Links on website! If you know of any local car shows, let Roger know.
Publicity: Blue Bars is behind and our Club photo and article (written by Denny Waddell’s daughter Jenn DeWitt) will appear in the February 2022 (Winter issue) with a back cover photo.
Parade: Jim Scranton heads parades.
Quartermaster: Kathy Nelson was absent. The back ordered shirts are not in yet. No orders will be taken at the meetings as it is all online on the website now. If you have any problems contact Kathy and she will help you through it. Clothing tab is now on the main page of the website, no password needed to access.
Historian: Waldo Arnholz. No report.
Sunshine: Linda Thomsen. 2 cards were sent out this month. December Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Linda with the information.
Old Business: If you would like a copy of the slide show from the 60th Anniversary party bring a 16gb flash stick to the business meeting and Waldo will download it for you. Denny thanked Rick for doing the Vice President position this past year and for stepping into the job as acting President when needed.
New Business: Tonight’s visitors were invited to the Awards Dinner, Jeff Olsen is bringing pies for our dessert – any leftovers will be auctioned 🙂 Asked members to help clean up the meeting room and were invited to City Limits. Motion to adjourn made by Randy Carlz and seconded by Jeff Olson. Meeting adjourned at 7:12 pm.
