Vice-President Rick Sherman called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.
36 members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders.

Nomination forms were handed out. Board of Directors will have a meeting this month to discuss $ in both regular account and charity account.

Secretary’s Report: The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the September Minutes as submitted was made by Ross Scott and seconded by John Severs. Motion carried.

Treasurers’ Report: Sherri Brown passed around a current Club’s balance sheet for members to see. MWC 60th Anniversary Budget/Costs sheet was an additional sheet. Credits were (Business Checking): Anniversary dinners and Membership Renewal, Transfer from Money Market to Close and Interest. Debits were: B & B Drain Tech-Low Speed Event, AASF Armory Davenport-Replacement Check, NCCC Dues- Langel and Hoff, Gale Brown- Repmt Visa Gift Card-Blue Bars Article Thank you, iPROMTEu-Advantage Advertising-Totes, Steve Kean-Anniversary Shirt Refund, Wallace’s Garden Ctr-Banquet Mums and Rick Sherman-Repmt Johnny’s Steak House Gift Card for Amatos. Charity: Credits were: 50/50, No Name Tags, Birthdays and Anniversaries, Pie/Ice Cream Charity Event, Seed Money Redeposit and Banquet 50/50 & Raffles. Debits were: Seed Money for Banquet Charity Events. Savings Account Main and Charity: Interest. Motion to accept Treasurer Report made by John Severs and seconded by Linda Thomsen. Motion carried. A motion to give the Board of Directors authority for deciding on Christmas $ Donations made by Mike Alvarado and seconded by Carol Mathias. Motion carried. If you have a specific charity you would like to see be donated to, contact one of the Board members with your choices.

Governor’s Report: Al Fiscus talked about the Annual Awards dinner being planned for December 12th at Eriksens at 3pm. Need a small committee to help with that. No City Limits tonight after meeting as they were short staffed.

Membership: Gale Brown reported that we have 120 members. Anyone joining after the first of November will have to pay $10 extra. If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club Name Tag let Gale know and he will get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Gale know so he can get the information corrected. Updated list is on the website.

Social: Oct. 8,9 and 10 Fall Color Run Wisconsin (Bill and Michelle Ingersoll taking lead) so far 10-11 cars going. Oct. 9 Open Drive meets at Hardee’s Eldridge 9:30 am, driver meeting 9:45 am, depart 10 am. Severs Annual Chili Potluck will be on Oct. 23rd starting at noon. We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead at least 1 drive out this year.

Speed: Butch Thomsen. Nothing to discuss as events are over for the year.

Communications: Rick Sherman heads communications.

Charity: Donna Jochim. 50/50 winners were Gale Brown(donated back) and Deanna Glossop. Carl Burney stated the Jeff Gordon raffle he was going to do for Charity, he is cancelling for this year. A Dining Tour Coupon Book was auctioned and later given to Jeff Olson for a Thank You for the pies. Jeff brought in a Vanilla Creme pie for auction this month with the winning bid going to Rick Sherman. Don VanDeWoestyne asked for a donation for Charly Erpelding suffering from cancer(this is the girl who Ron’s Toy Box car show was donating the entry fee $ to). Motion by Carol Mathias and seconded by Mike Alvarado. Motion carried.

Car Show: Roger Miller was absent. Links on website! If you know of any local car shows, let Roger know. October 9th car show at the Davenport fairgrounds(Dwyer and Michaels).

Publicity: Blue Bars is behind and our Club photo and article (written by Denny Waddell’s daughter) will appear in the February 2022 (Winter issue) with a back cover photo.

Parade: Jim Scranton heads parades.

Quartermaster: Kathy Nelson. It will probably be November for the back ordered 60th Anniversary shirts. No orders will be taken at the meetings as it is all online on the website now. If you have any problems contact Kathy and she will help you through it. Clothing tab is now on the main page of the website, no password needed to access.

Historian: Waldo Arnholz. Waldo had a slideshow of photos from the 60th Anniversary party. If you would like a copy bring a 16 gb flash stick to the next meeting and he will download it for you. Jim Scranton discussed 2 parties that didn’t make it to the party, one from DeWitt whose wife passed away that day and the other from Sherrard who wasn’t feeling well, wanted to make sure that those who had paid and didn’t make it were sent the program and totes.

Sunshine: Linda Thomsen. 2 cards were sent out this month. October Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Linda with the information.

Old Business: The 60th Anniversary was very successful, the committee went above and beyond. There were 51 cars and 115 people in attendance. Thank Yous to Sherri Brown for a job well done and to the rest of the committee who made it such a great time and to Waldo for an A+ on the slideshow. Bill Ingersoll talked about the Fall Color Run and the Saturday dinner option. Any questions contact Bill or Michelle.

There will be a BOD meeting to discuss the budget dollars for Charity Christmas giving. Al thanked all volunteers for Board of Director positions. Discussed having the meetings done by 8:00pm. so we could make it over to City Limits in a reasonable time frame, maybe start meetings at 6:30pm instead of 7:00pm. Will check to see what is in the Constitution, By-Laws and SOP. Asked members to help clean up the meeting room. Motion to adjourn made by Steve Kean and seconded by John Severs.
