President Denny Waddell called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 35 members present and 0 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..

There were no opening remarks.

Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Bill Ingersoll and seconded by Rick Sherman. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Sherri Brown – Credits were: Kathy Nelson sale of sample shirts, Al Fiscus Memorials collected by Denny Waddell, Al Fiscus Memorial check collected by Deanna Glossop and dividend. Debits were: US Postal Service-Milan PO Box annual Fee and Linda Thomsen repayment-Isabel Bloom for Ellen Hobart. Charity: Credits were: 50/50, Birthdays/Anniversaries, no name tag, pie auction & New Member drive incentive donation. Debits were: Vietnam Veterans QC Chapter 299. Savings Account Main and Charity: none

Governor’s Report: John Severs – No Report

Membership: Gale Brown – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Gale know, he’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Gale know so he can update the information. The Club has 119 members 14 of these are Lifetime members. A question was raised about leaving Al Fiscus/Ellen Hobart on the membership list and decided to treat it as normal. Gale still has brochures for Corvette Adventures. Discussed the New Member challenge Rita Painter started by offering $50 to Club members who bring in a new member (required to attend 4 Club functions) for the calendar year 2022.

Social: Carl Burney – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active roll to plan and lead 1 drive out. Sharon Langel discussed the Spring Bash to be held March 20th from 11am to 3pm at the Izacc Walton League in Mt. Joy. Signup sheets were passed around for soups/desserts, helpers for games (1-hour times) and names/number attending. Any questions, contact Donna Jochim or Sharon Langel. Feel free to invite family, friends or past Club members and let Donna or Sharon know how many you plan to bring by March 6th. Feb.9th 6 pm dinner at Harlan’s 3923 Kimberly Road, Davenport IA. Feb. 23rd 9 am breakfast at Deer Field Family Restaurant 2215 John Deere Road Carbon Cliff IL. March 9th 6 pm dinner at Machine Shed 7250 Northwest Blvd, Davenport IA. March 23rd 9 am breakfast at Valley Country Cafe 24487 Valley Drive Bettendorf IA. There is enough interest so far from the questionnaires (can be found online on the website) that there will be 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday drive out a month for the start of the driving season. Anyone interested in forming a drive out committee? Contact Carl.

Speed: Butch Thomsen – The Rallye committee met. The Rallye will be held on April 10th and consist of 3 events. Registration will begin at 8 am. Signup sheets will be passed at the March business meeting. A discussion was held to rename the Spring Rallye as the Al Fiscus Memorial Spring Rallye. Motion by Randy Carlz and seconded by Kathy Nelson. Motion carried.

Communications: Deanna Glossop – talked about the email sent about the QC Regional Auto Show March 4-6th. The event coordinator reached out to the Club to have an all-Corvette feature exhibit this year. Tom Pospisil is one of the sponsors and thought it’d be a great way to boost interest in the Club. There is room for 8 cars and will be roped off with added security. So far 6 are interested in bringing their Corvettes so there is room for 2 more. Contact Deanna Glossop or Denny Waddell if you are interested in doing this (trying to get 1 car for each generation, need C1, C2, C4). There is a Buy/Sell tab on the website now.

Charity: Donna Jochim – 50/50 winners were Sue Severs and Bob Sierens. Lots of goodies (Lemon Meringue pie, cookies, dipped pretzels and french bread) were auctioned at the meeting with $ going to Charity.

There are a couple of new additions to our website. 1) The For Sale page is back and this is where members can list parts/accessories/vehicles for sale. Only members can list items but the general public can see what’s for sale. 2) We have the Social Questionnaire form on the website. This is your chance to voice your opinion on various club social activities so go check it out and use the form!

Quartermaster: Kathy Nelson – Kathy has asked for someone to step in and learn the duties so she can have a break. Rita Painter said she would like the opportunity to do that. Denny thanked Kathy for all she does and thanked Rita for stepping up to help. The back ordered 60th Anniversary shirts have come in. There is 1 Large that is not spoken for so if you would like to purchase it contact Kathy.

Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report. Denny thanked Waldo for all of his work as Historian and asks for someone to take an interest in the position so Waldo can have a break from it.

Sunshine: Linda Thomsen – Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. 3 cards were sent out this last month. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Linda.

Old Business: Rita Painter is working with Erica on a photo of Al Fiscus that Rita will have framed and matted, then brought back to Eriksen’s to be put in the glass case in the meeting room. Rita was going to compile some information to go along with the photo before framing.

New Business: Erica our Club liaison at Eriksen’s had information on the 2023 order dates, orders can be taken starting March 21 with the order banks opening on March 24th with no allocation limit for dealerships for a specific model (example Z06). Bill Ingersoll brought up the question of nominating someone as an Honorary Member. The section in the Club Constitution pertaining to this was read out loud so all members could hear how this is done.
Members were asked to help clean up the meeting room and invited to City Limits.
