President Quint Early called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 26 members present and 0 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..

Reminder to set phones to silent, wear nametags to all Club functions and donate for Birthdays/Anniversaries/No Name Tag at the beginning of the meeting if wishing to do so. Melissa Thorngren is going to head up the Christmas in July (27th) and need someone to help co-chair the event. Sign-up sheet for volunteers for Spring Rallye was passed around.

Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Randy Carlz and seconded by Bill Ingersoll. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Absent, so Kristin did the honors. Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Income was: Walters Membership Fees. Expense was: Severs Governor Meeting Expenses, Mathias Shelter House Rental (July picnic), Kuehner Meyer Funeral Flowers, Huber New Club Banner and Ebert Spring Bash Prizes. Charity: Income was: Birthday/Anniversary/Name Tags, 50/50 and Auction. Expense was: Crouse Donation. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by Carol Mathias and seconded by Bob Hebestreit. Motion carried.

Governor’s Report: John Severs – Told the Membership that we were turned down for using Brady Street Stadium or the lot we had last year for the Low Speed Event. Took ideas on other places to check into for possible use and will do some research on those places.

Membership: Kristin Early – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Kristin know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Kristin know so she can update the information. And don’t forget – members can update their information themselves including any updates to your Corvette model, year, color, and license plate. Curtis and Sarah De Frange have rejoined the Club and now own a 2000 yellow Corvette coupe. Welcome back! Membership contest ongoing. No guests or new cars this month. Gary and Jayne Kamp have sold their Corvette and will have some C7 items for Club auction next month.

Social: Donna Jochim – Absent, so Kristin gave the report. We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. Cancelled Spring Bash April 6. Breakfast 9 am. Registration 8-9 am, driver meeting 9:15 am, first car out 9:30 am. Waterfalls and Wineries weekend April 27-29 meet 8:30 am QC Mart 2576 190th St. Welton IA. depart 9 am. Corvettes in Paradise weekend April 25- 28 meet 9am I-74 E. Krisdala Baka Rest area (mile marker 28) leave 9:15 am. Chevy Hall of Fame Drive Out May 11 meet 8 am at I-74 E. Krisdala Baka Rest area (mile marker 28). Camp Courageous May 19 meet 8:30 am. at BP 235 N Oak Ln Blue Grass IA. leave 9 am. Christmas in July July 27 more info to follow. Low Speed August 25 more info to follow. Car Show Sept 21 at Petty’s 305 106th Ave. Milan IL. 1 pm. Winona Weekend Oct 18-20 meet 8 am Cody Road Coffee 205 s 9th Ave. Eldridge IA leave 8:30 am.

Speed: Jeff Bellmyer – Spring Ralley volunteer signup sheet passed around. Already have a few signed up to participate. Reminder that you do not have to drive a Corvette and this event is open to anyone, friends, family, 26th cousins can come and enjoy a fun day driving to lunch. The deadline for the price break has been extended to April 11th.

Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails. There are 72 members on the Facebook page and 103 on the Email list.

Charity: Jan Ebert – Absent so Kristin and John did the honors. 50/50 winners were Kristin Early and Cindy Kuehner. A donation request was made to Sandy Casselman who has limited income and daughter has cancer, repairs need to be made to wheelchair ramp. Motion made by Carol Mathias and seconded by Michelle Ingersoll. Motion carried. Auction items Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies – 1 box went to Sean McKay and 1 box went to John Severs. Caribbean Sea Breeze Sugar Scrub went to Quint Early. C5 license plate frame went back to the storage locker.

Car Shows: Jeff Bellmyer – Car Shows are on the Mid-West Corvettes Calendar on the. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Jeff know. Cars and Coffee are starting for the year.

Publicity: Open position

Parades: Jim Scranton – Absent, no report.

Quartermaster: Rita Painter and Patti Bellmyer – Still selling down inventory, if there is something specific you would like just let Rita or Patti know and they can order it in for you.

Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Absent. No report.

Sunshine: Cindy Kuehner – Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Cindy. Received some Thank You cards, sent a few cards out this last month.

Old Business: Clubs 64th Anniversary in May. Will have cake and water right before the beginning of the May 7th meeting.

New Business: Discussed if a Member in good standing sells their Corvette to a private buyer, would the Club be open to letting the new owner finish out the remainder of the year of the persons selling. Something to be discussed. Denny Waddell said he would be listing Denny and Rosie Meyers car for sale once he gathers all the information for it. There are a few information cards for Corvette Adventures June 6-8 if anyone is interested.
