President Quint Early called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 34 members present and 0 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..

Reminder to set cell phones on silent, donation $ at the beginning of the meeting. Award Banquet this Sunday. Sign-up sheet for Spring Bash Committee was sent around. *New, looking to involve the membership with Breakfasts, Dinners, Ice Cream get togethers, a sign-up sheet was passed for members to sign up for 1 month (of their choice) where they decide where to have a breakfast and a dinner/or ice-cream and make the arrangements becoming the Event Leader for that month’s breakfast and dinner/ice cream. You can contact Donna Jochim for more information and singing up.

Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Bill Ingersoll and seconded by Jeff Olson. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Income was: Award Dinner Reservations and Dividend. Expenses were: Award Dinner Expenses Paid, Governor’s Meeting Expenses and Transfer to Charity Account. Charity: Income was: 50/50/Auction/Donations and Transfer from Main Account. Expenses were: Christmas Disbursements Cleared and Charity Donation-Mullenburg. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by Carol Mathias and seconded by Randy Carlz. Motion carried.

Governor’s Report: John Severs – No report.

Membership: Kristin Early – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Kristin know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Kristin know so she can update the information. Will be removing those who have not renewed their memberships and updating the list by the end of the month for the 2024 year.

Social: Donna Jochim – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. Dec. 10 Christmas/Awards Banquet at Riverfront Grille 4619 34th St. Rock Island IL. from 1pm-5pm. Dec. 20 Breakfast QC USA Family Restaurant 4910 22nd Ave. Moline IL. 9am. No Dinner meet up for December. April 27-29 Waterfalls and Wineries. Hotel is Country Inn and Suites Decorah IA. 563-387-9011, block under Mid-West Corvette Club. Contact Ingersoll’s or Severs for more information. April 27 Car Show, Corvettes in Paradise weekend Host Resort Margaritaville 494 Tan-Tar-A Dr. Osage Beach MO. 573-348-3131. Contact Sean McKay for more information. Donna is looking for Event Leaders to help with the Breakfast/Dinner/Ice Cream monthly meets. Wants to involve the Membership more. So, asking people to sign up for 1 month during the year and plan the event. You can contact Donna for more information or to sign up.

Speed: Sean McKay – April 26 drive to Lake of the Ozarks, car show on the 27th. Deadline for registrations is March 14th for both car show and Hotel. Contact Sean for more information.

Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails. There was a glitch on the last email sent (regarding a fake email that some members may have gotten). It went into the Junk inbox instead of the regular Inbox. Read a Thank You from Lilly (Glossop’s great granddaughter) for the donation for her surgery.

Charity: Melissa Thorngren – Absent, so Donna did the honors. 50/50 winners were Bill Ingersoll and Patrick Nichols. Auction items were a Christmas Gingerbread House Decoration: winning bid was Deanna Glossop, Coconut Creme Pie: winning bid was Rita Painter who said sell it again, so went to Debi McKay. Carl and Donna were Thanked for putting together the Peoria dinner and Christmas Light Drive. Thank Yous were received from Camp Courageous, Pastor Donnie, Nest Cafe, Friendly House, Kings Harvest and Family Resource for the Annual Donations the Club makes. A donation request for Rick Jochim who has cancer and needs to travel to Mayo was made. Motion by Kristin Early and seconded by Carol Mathias. Motion carried.

If you have suggestions or ideas for website improvements, please let Chuck know. F.Y.I. Members are able to update information in your user profile including information on your Corvette such as Model, Year, Color, and License Plate #.

Car Shows: Roger Miller – Car Shows are on the Calendar. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Roger know. Jan 12-14 Rod and Custom Show at the Bend. Jan. 19-21 Veterans QCCA Expo Center. Feb 10-19 Chicago McCormick Place Show. Roger bought 4 new cones thru U-Line and discussion was on the Club purchasing new for upcoming years. Jeff Bellmyer will count what the Club has and what condition they are in, John Severs will determine how many the Club needs and recommendations will be made in the near future.

Publicity: Open position- no report

Parades: Jim Scranton – Absent. No Report.

Quartermaster: Rita Painter – Sweatshirts available. Someone requested Hoodies. If there is something you would like to see in the inventory, contact Rita.

Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Absent. Nothing to report.

Sunshine: Cindy Kuehner – Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Cindy. 4 cards were sent this month.

Photos: Karen Brown – Absent. If you have photos of drive outs or Club events, you can email them to kjbudelierbrown@gmail.com

Old Business: John Severs told members of the Corvette Plant Tours being ended as of Feb. 5th. Not sure when they will resume, so no trip is being planned at this time for the Club to go to Bowling Green.

New Business: No New Business. Everyone was asked to help clean up the meeting room and invited to Luli’s. Meeting adjourned at 7:12pm.
