Governor John Severs called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 29 members present and 0 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..
Reminder to set phones to silent, wear name tags to all Club functions, donate for Birthday/Anniversaries/Name tags at the beginning of the meeting if wishing to do so. Signup sheets were passed for Spring Bash Committee, QC Auto Show and Breakfast/Dinner, Ice Cream volunteer schedule. Quint was absent, so John did the honors this month for the meeting.
Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Ron Mathias and seconded by Sharon Morrissey. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Income was: none. Expense was: Post Office annual rental fee and Outstanding checks from Christmas donations. Charity: Income was: 50/50, Auction items and donations. Expense was: none. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by Bill Morrissey IV and seconded by Gale Brown. Motion carried.
Governor’s Report: John Severs – NCCC scholarship forms are available on the NCCC website. Told members the Club total of $ donations for the 2023 calendar year and the total of volunteer hours.
Membership: Kristin Early – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Kristin know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Kristin know so she can update the information. And don’t forget – members can update their information themselves including any updates to your Corvette model, year, color, and license plate. Kristin was absent so John gave the report. We will start a membership contest in March, so invite a guest to the March meeting and Kristin will share details then.
Social: Donna Jochim – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. Asking Members to sign up for a month to plan a Breakfast and a Dinner (or Ice Cream) meet. Feb. 13th Breakfast 9am. meet at Davenport Family Restaurant 902 W Kimberly Rd. Davenport IA. Hosted by Carol Mathias. Feb. 26th Dinner at 6pm. meet at The Tanglewood 3636 Tanglewood Rd. Bettendorf IA. Hosted by Sharon Langel. April 6th Spring Bash at Izaak Walton League 8840 N Harrison St. Davenport IA. More to follow. April 21st Spring Rallye meet at Eriksen Chevrolet 325 1st Ave. E Milan IL. More to follow. Waterfalls and Wineries weekend April 27-29 meet at QC Mart 2576 190th St. Welton IA, 8:30am, depart 9 am. Country Inn and Suites Decorah IA. need 2-night reservation 563-387-9011, block under Mid-West Corvette Club until 3/29/24. Corvettes in Paradise weekend April 25-28 Host resort Margaritaville, Osage Beach MO. 573-348-3131 until 3/14/24 or till sold out. Block under Mid-West Corvette Club. Low Speed Event Aug. 24 and 25 Brady Street Stadium parking lot. More information to follow. Winona MN weekend Oct. 18-20 leaving from Cabo’s Eldridge IA. Driver meeting 8:15 am, leave 8:30am. Plaza Hotel 2-night reservation 507-453-0303 block under Mid-West Corvettes until 9/9/24.
Speed: Jeff Bellmyer – Spring Rallye is April 21st. Leaves from Eriksen’s Cheverolet. Anyone can participate, do not have to have or drive a corvette. So, ask your friends to join in for a fun morning and lunch. Contact Jeff if interested in helping. We will have 4 sanction points to use now for the Rallye. Looking ahead to the Low-Speed Event, it will be held at Brady Street Stadium parking lot once again. There is discussion on a 2-day event with another Club joining us. More to follow on this.
Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails. Michelle was absent. No report.
Charity: Jan Ebert – 50/50 winners were Jeff Olson and Sue Severs (both donated $ back). Thank You’s from Gilda’s Club, Youth Hope, Hope at Brick House, Kids Inc. (Florida), King’s Harvest Pet Rescue and Ministries and United Way from our yearly Christmas donations. Auction items, Milk Chocolate fudge went to Jan Ebert and Carl Burney, PeanutButter fudge went to Sean McKay, Mint fudge went to John Severs and Jan Ebert, Turtles went to Rita Painter and John Severs, Strawberry/Rhubarb pie went to Rita Painter and Coconut creme pie went to Carl Burney. Book of Projects for Modern Corvettes (C4, C5, C6) and patches went to Roger Miller. A Thank You from Donna Jochim for donation to her brothers travel expenses was read.

Car Shows: Jeff Bellmyer – Car Shows are on the Mid-West Corvettes Calendar on the website. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Jeff know. The Club has been asked to participate in the QC Auto Show once again. If interested in putting your car in this show contact Jeff. I believe it is the first part of March. Jeff can give you the details.
Publicity: Open position
Parades: Jim Scranton – absent. No report.
Quartermaster: Rita Painter and Patti Bellmyer – Rita is putting 20% off clothing items. Grateful to Patti Bellmyer for helping as Rita wishes to back off from the position and just be a helper. Nothing new will be added to the inventory at this time. If you have a specific item, color, size, etc. that you would like to purchase, it can be ordered in for you, just contact Rita or Patti.
Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing historical to report.
Sunshine: Cindy Kuehner – Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Cindy.

Old Business: Roger Miller was presented with a Driver of the Year Award from the end of year annual banquet.
New Business: Bryant Wynes wanted to know if any members knew of someone who worked on CD/Stereos as his needs some work done. Suggested he contact Denny Waddell who has had knowledge of people who do this kind of work.
Asked members to help clean up meeting room and invited to Luli’s afterward.
