President Patric Nichols called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 37 members present and 3 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all veterans, fallen, past and current military personnel and first responders..

Reminder to set phones to silent, wear nametags to all Club functions and donate for birthdays/anniversaries/no name tag at the beginning of the meeting if wishing to do so. Curtis DeFrang is here with pictures from the Club’s 65th anniversary. Sign-up sheets are being sent around for various events including the Awards Banquet for venue ideas and committee help, to be held in December. There are chairperson vacancies in Publicity, Photo, and Parade.

Secretary’s Report: Jan Ebert – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made; all in favor, passed.

Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Beginning balance of $5,026.78. Credits: Kam Low Speed registrations $1,040.00, Car Show sponsorships $330, interest $.22. Debits: Isle of Capri lot rental $250.00, IL 2025 Club registration $10. Ending balance $6,137.00. Funds on hold are: Kam Low Speed escrow $790, Car Show escrow $1,271.68, Mileage Contest escrow $300. Checking funds available $3,775.32
Charity Account: Beginning balance $2,030.52. Monthly meeting 50/50, raffles, and auctions $215. Debits of Doulos Ministries $300, Flowers (Thorngren) $80.25, cards $24.93 (bought for future use from gift shop going out of business). Ending balance $1,840.34. Motion by Gail Olson to accept, Sue Severs second, accepted.

Governor’s Report: Roger Miller – Low Speed at Isle Casino in Bettendorf on July 12 and 13. 19 drivers pre-registered which makes it easier since registration, tech forms, and waivers can be pre-printed with all of the entrants’ information; pay when show up. Governor made a motion to purchase orange cones for just over $6 each. Jeff Bellmyer first, second by Sue Severs. Approved. GARAGE TOUR: Saturday, August 9, 2025. Discussion about this. Exact order of garages will be in the Things to Remember email.

Membership: Cindy Kuehner – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Cindy know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Cindy know so she can update the information. And don’t forget – members can update their information themselves including any updates to your Corvette model, year, color, and license plate. A sheet was passed around to be sure your car information is up to date. Guests: Tim Koehler, 65 this year, thinks it’s time to join the Corvette Club, bought his first Corvette in 1983, has had four which were all white with black interiors. Kevin Koehler, has a 2009 Corvette from his brother Tim. Dave Stockham is a guest from Maquoketa, friends with Patti Bellmyer.

Social: Donna Jochim – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. Ice cream at Smiles at 6:30 on July 10. July 16 Black Hills Corvette Classic. July 27 breakfast at River Drive Breakfast Parlor. Sunday August 17 Severs will host Off Shore Bar and Grill, meet at Ascentra. Same route as for Potter’s Mill. NCCC at Wisconsin Dells is August 17-22. Vettes vs. Dragons is September 11-14. August 23 is Vettes on the River. September 7 Picnic in the Park with Jeff and Gail Olson; this is at West Lake; drive out is beforehand. October 17-19 is Fall drive out to Wisconsin, hosted by Earlys. Breakfast Club needs a host for August.

Communications: Jeff Olson – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Jeff and he can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email to sign up to receive emails. Jeff Olson. Curtis has pictures for sale. Oops, guess not, it just sold as Jeff was speaking. Things to Remember is getting long; trying the format of putting things in chronological order. Will add new members to email. Patric on TV did a great job; on WHBF Channel 4’s website with the program Living Local; great PR for us. Thank you to everyone who volunteers with our Club.

Charity: Patti Bellmyer- Thank you again from Doulos Global Ministries. Huge thank you to Bob and Jan Bateman for $80 donated to MWC. Two MWC signs to be auctioned. Pie won by Tom Hampton. 50/25/25 won by Terry Johnson (donated back) and Jan Ebert. Thank you from Melissa Thorngren for flowers on death of Dan’s mom, came exactly when they were needed.

Old Business: Award given to Jim Scranton for his work as Parades chairman for several years. Patrick Nichols received award for being new to the Club and hit the ground running. Bob and Jan Bateman for Rookie of the Year 2024. Gail Olson: Hello Quad Cities video was on TV 6; it ran the next Monday. Marie Foster put the spot on our Facebook page. You can look up Hello QC on the right under KWQC’s website; that will pull up the segments. It does a week at a time; it is in the week of June 9th. Sean McKay: not present, but he is looking for volunteers to help with the car show on October 4 at Ericksen’s.
