President Patric Nichols called the meeting to order at 6:31PM. There were 38 members present and 0 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..
Reminder to set phones to silent, wear nametags to all Club functions and donate for Birthdays/Anniversaries/No Name Tag at the beginning of the meeting if wishing to do so. Curtis DeFrang is present for 65th anniversary picture orders. Sign-up sheets are being passed around for Breakfast and Ice Cream Clubs. Picnic in the Park at West Lake which is scheduled for September 7 has a sign-up sheet also going around; Gail and Jeff Olson have volunteered to head the picnic; however, we do need a drive out host for the picnic. Publicity, Parade, and Photo board positions are open.
Secretary’s Report: Jan Ebert – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Marie Foster and seconded by Carol Mathias. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Corrected balance for May is $5,262.54. Main Account: Income: Credits: mileage contest $60, car show awards sponsorships $715. Debits: anniversary cake $55.98, anniversary dinner caterer $955, dividend $0.22. Ending balance on 5/31/25: $5,026.78. Charity Account: beginning balance: $1,645.52. Credits: Monthly meeting 50/50, raffles and auctions $235.00, Doulos Ministry donations $300. Debits cleared: Lewis Memorial $75, NKTR-Hoff Memorial $75. End balance on 5/31/25: $2,030.52. Debits outstanding: Doulos Ministries $300. Ending checkbook on 5/31/25: $1,730.52. Motion by Gail Olson, second by Robbie Bentley to accept; passed.
Governor’s Report: Roger Miller – Not much to report; no cost to have our Club’s 65th anniversary picture on the Blue Bars and will be on the summer publication of it.
Membership: Cindy Kuehner – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Cindy know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Cindy know so she can update the information. And don’t forget – members can update their information themselves including any updates to your Corvette model, year, color, and license plate. She now can print things as her house move is complete. Be sure to get any address changes to her.
Social: Donna Jochim – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. Sprint car drive out to Knoxville. No drive out on June 8. Breakfast Club on 6/12 at Iowa Machine Shed. June 14 drive out with Sean and Deb with Galesburg Corvette. June 20 celebration of life for Bob Hebestreit at Riverfront Grille. June 24 Ice Cream battle between Whitey’s and Country Style. June 28 drive out to Wapello, hosted by Severs. July 6 drive out to Field Day Brewery Co., 925 Liberty Way, North Liberty, Iowa. Open drive out July 26—need a host. Black Hills trip: July 16-20 with Sean and Deb McKay. Check Facebook and emails to find out what things are happening. Also, the email of “Things to Remember” has all the information.
Speed: Jeff Bellmyer – Kenny Anderson memorial Low Speed; need $250 for prizes, motion by Michelle Ingersoll, second by Sue Severs, passed. It will be held at Isle of Capri. Helpers are needed. Pylons and cones discussed.
Communications: Jeff Olson – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Jeff and he can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email to sign up to receive emails. Val Anderson still looking for a convertible for 4th of July Bettendorf parade. It was suggested to her to contact the Camaro and/or Mustang Clubs. “Things to Remember” email comes out a week before the meeting.
Charity: Patti Bellmyer- Two thank you notes were received. Rhubarb custard pie was won by Debi McKay. 50/50 at $19 each: Terry Johnson donated his winnings back as did Sean McKay. Coconut cream pie went to Jeff Bellmyer with a winning bid of $45.

Car Shows: Jeff Bellmyer – October 3 at Erickson Chevrolet. July 27 Bishop Hill car show; we need to go to this as it’s hosted by our very own Jeff Olson. August 23 is Vettes on the River; registration is open. There are many weekend car shows in various spots.

Quartermaster: Rita Painter – Nothing new to say; has a few more hats and gray shirts.
Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Not present.
Sunshine: Gail Olson – Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. Cards to Patric Nichols, Fay Anderson (SO of Denny), Ross Scott (sympathy card upon death of daughter). Dan Thorngren’s dad passed, his service will be private. Jeff and Patti Bellmyer anniversary. 65th anniversary of Robbie and Russell Bentley.
