President Quint Early called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 33 members present and 0 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..

Please put phones on silent, wear nametags to all events so the new members can get to know who we are. Communication survey was handed out. Sign-up sheets passed were for the car show in Rosemont Nov. 18th and for the Parade of Lights in Peoria Dec. 2nd. Reminder of the Christmas/Awards Banquet Dec. 10th.

Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Deanna Glossop and seconded by Carol Mathias. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Credits were: Erikson Club Sponsorship, Awards Dinner Reservations and Dividend. Debits were: Awards Dinner Expense. Charity: Credits were: Income from Meeting. Debits were: None. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by Tom Hampton and seconded by Sherri Brown. Motion carried.

Governor’s Report: John Severs – Renewals are in and done. You will receive your card in the mail.

Membership: Kristin Early – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Kristin know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Kristin know so she can update the information. Had some cards for Corvette Adventures Road Tours June 6-8, 2024, Chula Vista Resort Wisconsin Dells.

Social: Donna Jochim – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. Nov. 11 Euchre night is full. Nov. 14 Breakfast Club 9 am. meet at Flip’s Pancake House 3595 Tanglefoot Ln. Bettendorf, IA. Nov. 18 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals meet at former Ascentra in LeClaire 7:45 am, leave at 8 am. Terry Johnson is leading, so contact him with questions. Cindy Kuehner is planning on meeting up afterwards at Prime Quarter Princeton IL. for dinner at 5:30 pm, if interested in joining for dinner contact Cindy. They need a head count for dinner, message at (309)738-0127. Nov 28 Dinner Club 6pm meet at The 11th Hour Bar and Grill 1600 Crosstown Ave. Silvis, IL. Dec. 2 Parade of Lights RSVP to dmj1961@live.com, dinner at Alexander’s Steakhouse Peoria followed by Parade of Lights $10 entry fee per car. Meet at I 74 Krisdala Baka Rest Area East bound mile marker 29 at 3 pm, leave 3:30pm, dinner at 5 pm. Dec. 10 Annual Award/Christmas Banquet 1pm-5pm Riverfront Grille 4619 34th Street Rock Island IL. Menu is Ham, Fried Chicken, new potatoes, green beans, side salad, dinner rolls and desert. $25 per person, prepay by Nov. 26 to Donna Jochim 169 Beacon Harbor Circle East Moline IL. 61224. Dec. 20 Breakfast Club 9 am. meet at QC USA Family Restaurant 4910 22nd Ave Moline IL. NO DINNER CLUB for Dec. Waterfalls and Wineries (Ingersoll’s and Severs) 2-night reservation, block under Mid-West Corvette Club, Country Inn and Suites Decorah (563) 387-9011. and Corvettes in Paradise (McKay’s) both weekend drive outs April 27, 2024.

Speed: Sean McKay – Update on Lake of the Ozarks weekend. Registration is open. If parking inside remember you park Friday am and cannot take car out until Saturday afternoon.

Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Absent. Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails. John Severs told members of the email the Club got from the Galesburg Club Fundraiser and between the 2 clubs $700 was raised for the Childrens Advocacy Foundation.

Charity: Melissa Thorngren – Absent. 50/50 winners were Tom Hampton and Marie Foster. Auction items, cup holder-no bids, belt buckle, no bids, sweatshirt-Deanna Glossop, car wash basket-Quint Early, Route 66 book-Terry Johnson, Scenic Drives book-Marie Foster, oil-Deanna Glossop, Corvette framed photo-Deanna Glossop. Deanna Glossop asked for a donation for their Great Granddaughter Lily Jo who is having surgery. Motion by Donna Jochim and seconded by John Severs. Motion carried. Year-end Christmas Donations: QC Mission, Youth Hope, SOJO Womens Shelter Project Now, Sisters of Humility, United Way QC Wishlist, CASI, Camp Courageous, Hope at Brick House, Gilda’s Club, The Nest Cafe, Vietnam Veterans Chapter 669 and 299, Christian Care Center, Childrens Therapy of QC, GiGi’s Playhouse of QC, Brantley Francis Foundation, River Bend Food Pantry, Community Action of Eastern Iowa, King’s Harvest Ministries, Safe Families for Children in QC, Grace Bible Fellowship and Friendly House. Motion to make donations made by Kristin Early and seconded by Tom Hampton. Motion carried. Motion to move funds from Main Account to Charity made by Kristin Early and seconded by Carol Mathias. Motion carried.

Car Shows: Roger Miller – Absent. Car Shows are on the Calendar. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Roger know.

Publicity: Open position

Parades: Jim Scranton – Nothing to report.

Quartermaster: Rita Painter – Had Long sleeve T-shirts and sweatshirts. Had some shirts donated by Kathy Nelson for $ going to Charity.

Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report.

Sunshine: Cindy Kuehner – 2 cards were sent out. Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Cindy.

Old Business: Voting on the 2024 Board of Directors. There was only 1 person that accepted for each position. Membership was asked if there was anyone else who would like one of the positions, no one came forward. Motion to accept made by Quint Early and seconded by Bill Morrissey IV. Membership approved the Board. President: Quint Early, Vice President: Michelle Ingersoll, Secretary: Susan Severs, Treasurer: Carl Burney, Governor: John Severs, Membership: Kristin Early, Social: Donna Jochim, Speed: Jeff Bellmyer, Charity: Jan Ebert. Patti Bellmyer has agreed to do the Quartermaster position and Jeff Bellmyer has agreed to do the Car Show position for Chair positions. All other Chair positions remain the same. Webmaster: Chuck Hersey, Parade: Jim Scranton, Historian: Waldo Arnholz, Sunshine: Cindy Kuehner and Photos: Karen Brown.
