President Quint Early called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. There were 38 members present and 0 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..

Asked for cell phones to be put on silent, to wear name tags so that new members would know who you are at events. Signups for Euchre, Awards Banquet and Parade of Lights/Dinner at Alexander’s Peoria and Board of Directors Nominations were passed. Reminder to make donations at the beginning of the meeting.

Secretary’s Report: Susan Severs – The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Bill Ingersoll and seconded by Gale Brown. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Credits were: Membership renewal, Membership paid and Dividend. Debits were: Transfer to Charity Account, Membership fee, Governor expenses and NCCC Membership fees. Charity: Credits were: Funds raised and Low Speed Profit. Debits were: 3 checks that cleared. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by Sherri Brown and seconded by Tom Hampton. Motion carried.

Governor’s Report: John Severs – Absent. NCCC site is open for John to enter the Club Renewals for 2024.

Membership: Kristin Early – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Kristin know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Kristin know so she can update the information. There are 102 members renewing for 2024. 13 Lifetime and 6 Honorary.

Social: Donna Jochim – We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. The Winona weekend drive out directions are on the website. Leaves Oct 6 at 9 am from Cabo’s in Eldridge. Oct. 9 Breakfast at QC Pancake House 1831 3rd Ave. Rock Island IL 9 am. Oct. 14 Drive Out to Yarmouth Filling Station meets at the BP in Blue Grass IA. 235 N Oak Ln. Exit 107 Hwy 61 9:30 am, driver meeting 9:45 am, leave 10 am. Oct. 22 Drive Out to Revival Brewery in Clinton IA meets at former Ascentra Credit Union 949 Mississippi View Ct. LeClaire IA. 9:30 am, driver meeting 9:45 am, leave 10 am. Oct. 25 Dinner at Cabo’s Cantina and Grill 1500 E LeClaire Rd. Eldridge IA. 6 pm. Oct. 29 Open Drive Out meet at former Ascentra Credit Union 949 Mississippi View Ct. LeClaire IA. 9:30 am, driver meeting 9:45 am, leave 10 am. Nov. 5 Severs Annual Chili Potluck Bring a food item to share, camp chair, your beverage of choice (will have chili, coffee and water), plan to eat at Noon. Nov 11 Euchre at Donna’s 169 Beacon Harbor Circle (Pkwy) East Moline IL. Bring dish to share, BYOB and $5.00 and bump quarters 5 pm. Contact Donna text 309-235-2868. Dec. 2 Peoria Parade of Lights and Dinner at Alexander’s Steak House. more information coming. Dec. 10 Awards /Christmas Banquet 1-5 pm. at Riverfront Grille 4619 34th St Rock Island IL. $25 per person due before Nov. 26th, can mail to Donna Jochim 169 Beacon Harbor Circle East Moline 61244. Seed Money for the Awards/Christmas Banquet was asked for. Motion by Carol Mathias and seconded by Sherri Brown. Motion carried. Waterfalls and Wineries Drive Out April 27-29 update going to a supper club first night by party bus. Hotel 563-387-9011 block under Mid-West Corvette Club. April 27 Corvettes in Paradise Drive Out McKays leading to Lake of the Ozarks for the weekend.

Speed: Sean McKay – Nothing to report.

Communications: Michelle Ingersoll – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Michelle and she can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email and you are set up to receive emails.

Charity: Melissa Thorngren – 50/50 winners were Michelle Ingersoll and Bob Bateman (both donated back). There were a couple of Thank You’s, 1 from Laura Henaman for donation to help with medical, Mr. Thanksgiving (Bob Vogelbaugh) for donation to his Thanksgiving dinner funds. Auction items, sweatshirt winning bid to Sean McKay, Cup holder no bid so into storage cabinet for a later time, universal car cover winning bid to Waldo Arnholz and an Apple pie winning bid to Debi McKay. Time to get your nominations in for Christmas Charity Donations, send these to Donna with name of charity, a contact person and phone number.

Car Shows: Roger Miller – Car Shows are on the Calendar. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Roger know. Oct 7 Tangled Wood cars and coffee 9 am. Oct. 14 Green Cheverolet 11 am – 2 pm. proceeds going to Children’s Therapy.

Publicity: Open position

Parades: Jim Scranton – No parades. Suggestion for wintering your car, to leave windows down and use car cover, that way it doesn’t get a musty smell. Melissa Thorngren said to use dryer sheets and Randy Carlz said Damp Rid works well.

Quartermaster: Rita Painter – T-shirts and Tank tops are half price and will have at Nov. meeting also. Rita has a white vest that someone in the Club ordered and she can’t remember who it was, so asked that you contact her if it was your order.

Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report.

Sunshine: Cindy Kuehner – 5 cards were sent out. Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. If you have knowledge of Club members, such as get-wells, deaths, births, etc. please contact Cindy.

Old Business: No Old Business

New Business: Rita had a menu from Legends that is now under new ownership and wondered if the Club wanted to try going back there after meetings. Discussion was that it was pretty small for inside dining but will reconsider in the spring and maybe alternate our dining options but staying with Luli’s for now.
