President Patric Nichols called the meeting to order at 6:33PM. There were 39 members present and 2 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A moment of silence was observed for all Veterans, Fallen, Past and Current Military Personnel and First Responders..
Reminder to set phones to silent, wear nametags to all Club functions and donate for Birthdays/Anniversaries/No Name Tag at the beginning of the meeting if wishing to do so. Sign-up sheets were passed around. It was noted that a few people were having problems getting onto the website, will check into it.
Secretary’s Report: Jan Ebert – Jan was absent so Sue Severs filled in. The minutes will only be posted to the website. Motion to accept the Minutes as submitted was made by Ross Scott and seconded by Shelia Petty. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Carl Burney – Carl was absent so Patric Nichols filled in. Passed a current Club’s balance sheet around for members to see. Income was: Club Dues, Low Speed, Membership and Car Show Sponsorship. Expense was: PS3 Enterprises, MWC Charity, Roger Miller (Cones), Postage Stamps and Lavender Crest Deposit. Charity: Income was: 50/50, Raffles and Low Speed Profit. Expense was: None. Motion to accept Treasurer’s report made by Jeff Olson and seconded by Mike Alvarado. Motion carried.
Governor’s Report: Roger Miller – Roger will attend the Governor’s meeting where there will be a vote on raising NCCC dues, Officers and Directors will be nominated, our Club was given these dates April 5, 2026 for Spring Rallye and July 11 and 12, 2026 for Low Speed Event (assumes we partner with Northern Rays Club again) and their Club was agreeable to a 30/70 split on profits as our Club would be doing most of the work. April 5th is Easter, so Roger will look into changing that date. The Club will wait on getting the yearly dues in until the NCCC vote on raising dues is done. An email will be sent out as soon as possible to the membership with the decision and when we need to have our dues paid.
Membership: Cindy Kuehner – If you have a lost or damaged, need a name change on your Club name tag, let Cindy know, she’ll get you a new one. If you have changes (car, plates, address, phone, etc.) let Cindy know so she can update the information. And don’t forget – members can update their information themselves including any updates to your Corvette model, year, color, and license plate. Membership dues are on hold until after the NCCC meeting to see if dues are going up. Visitor Herb Johnson from Milan who owns a 2021 C8 in Black and visitor Ron Debout who owns a 2012 Super Sonic Blue which is for sale for $29,000. Phone is 738-5426 and 738-5427.
Social: Donna Jochim – Donna was absent so Patric Nichols filled in. We welcome and encourage all members to take an active role to plan and lead 1 drive out. Sept. 7 Picnic in the Park at Noon at West Lake Park, Rolling Hills Shelter, Gate 1, 14910 110th Ave. Davenport (no drive out) bring your own beverage, Sept. 11-14 Vettes VS The Dragon, Sept. 15 Breakfast 9 am at Village Inn 5239 Elmore Ave Davenport IA. Sept 22 Ice Cream 6:30 at Cold Stone 4706 Utica Ridge Davenport IA. Sept. 27 Drive out to Lavender Crest meets 9:30am former Ascentra Credit Union 949 Mississippi View Ct. LeClaire Ia. leave at 10am. Oct. 4 All Corvette Car Show at Eriksen Chevrolet Milan IL. registration 8am. Oct. 5 Severs Annual Chili Potluck at Noon 2990 110th St. Wilton IA. bring a side dish to share, camp chair and beverage of choice, will have coffee and water. Oct 12 Open Drive out meet 9:30am at former Ascentra Credit Union 949 Mississippi View Ct. LeClaire IA. leave at 10am. Oct. 17-19 Wisconsin Fall Drive Out meet 8:30am at Cody Road Coffee in Eldridge IA. Oct. 25 Drive out to The Filling Station in Yarmouth IA. meet 9:30 am at BP Station 235 N Oak Lane Blue Grass IA. leave 10am. Dec. 7 Award Banquet/Christmas Party Noon at Lavender Crest 5401 US 6 Colona IL. Motion for car show 50/50 seed $ made by Sherri Brown, seconded by Deb Alvarado. Motion carried. Motion for car show registration seed $ made by Mike Alvarado, seconded by Gail Olson. Motion carried. Club was asked if detailers sponsoring trophies could have a canopy up at the car show, membership approved.
Speed: Jeff Bellmyer – Nothing until early spring when Jeff will be planning the Spring Ralley.
Communications: Jeff Olson – Reminder emails are sent at least 1 per week. If you are not getting these, contact Jeff and he can help you with this or go to the Club website and under the Members tab there is a link for MailChimp, enter your name and email to sign up to receive emails. Jeff had some trouble getting into the website, will talk to Jess. Thank You card and gift certificate was sent to former webmaster Chuck Hersey for his help with getting our site working after a crash.
Charity: Patti Bellmyer- 50/50 winners were Russ Bentley and John Severs. Chocolate pie went to Shelia Petty.

Car Shows: Jeff Bellmyer – Car Shows are on the Mid-West Corvettes Calendar on the. There are also links to external sites that list car shows. If you know of any local car shows let Jeff know. Parades: Jim Scranton – There is a Parade Sept. 19th for Moline Homecoming that would like 12 Corvettes to drive their Homecoming Court in. Contact Becca Peterson if you would like to do this at (309) 269-1342 or rpeterso@molineschools.org. Would meet at 1 pm with parade at 2 pm.
Quartermaster: Rita Painter – Nothing new. Has a couple of orders in for members that have placed orders, please come to the meeting and get them off her hands. Asked about Club Dues and will get an email once figured out. Rita’s car still for sale contact her if interested.
Historian: Waldo Arnholz – Nothing to report. Museum restored Duntov Corvette now on display.
Sunshine: Gail Olson – Birthdays and Anniversaries were noted. 1 Get Well and 2 Thinking of You cards sent Received Thank You from Lewis Family and Ross Scott.

Old Business: Discussed Oct. 4 Car Show. Ideas from the Veteran car show. Alvarado’s went to the NCCC Convention in Wisconsin a couple weeks ago. Estimated 500-600 there, races and race events, more than seen before, Fun Kahana, Scavenger Hunt, Competition points, said a lot of fun, car show was a rainy day. Convention is in Syracuse NY next year. You can talk to the Alvarado’s if wanting to learn more about conventions.
New Business: Does someone want to Host Oct. Breakfast? Let Donna know. Deposit was made to Lavender Crest for Dec. 7th Award/Christmas Banquet. It takes 30 meals to make up the deposit, so deposit monies could be used for decoration and gifts. Motion made by Sherri Brown and seconded by Gale Brown. Motion carried. Chairperson and committee needed. Patti Bellmyer spoke about same 4 as last year’s committee doing again this year. Membership in favor of that. Anyone wanting to join in contact Patti. Gale Brown still has some cling stickers for our cars. Fun Facts was read by Jeff Bellmyer this month.
